Great atmosphere. Great staff, great food, great night. This restaurant is definately the place to go in Lincoln if you want a good night out with a group, but go somewhere else for a romantic meal, as it is a bit noisy!

Fantastic evening. In short .... Lasagna, vegetable pesto pasta and carbonara. They do have the proper names. Lasagna was a good size made in the traditional way. Full of meat which isn't all the case in a lot of places ... Gino shows them how they should be made full of flavour, they didn't kill it with cheese. The veg, pesto pasta - daughter is a fussy one and worse with textures but the good is just right ... Full of peppers packed with flavour. Again a good size portion. Carbonara... Creamy pots with flavour. Lots of bacon. Really good size portion. If you're going to go, go hungry... Where did it get out of garlic bread fries . Food piping hot. I have to say I feel we paid the right price for the food. The venue was clean and the staff was attentive. One thing would say is they could loose a table or two just to off a little more space I know it reduces foot fall but you did feel a little sat on down stairs. The number of times ppl caught my chair or rubbed past.... if you was of any size some areas down stairs may make you feel uncomfortable. . Don't let that out you off it's worth going x

Good food price wasn’t as bad as other reviewers have made out for the quality and portion sizes. We really enjoyed our food and service, I would highly recommend this restaurant

Food was excellent. Service was friendly but we felt very rushed. As drinks arrived, so did 1st course and no sooner had we eaten that but plates were whipped away and the mains arrived! Fine if you're in a rush but my daughter and I wanted to catch up and chill over a nice meal. Slow down, Ginos, let your guests savour your wonderful food!

Lovely independent Italian on the hill with a welcoming vibe. The decor inside is nice and although not the most spacious dining area it gets away with it with the friendly atmosphere. Orders were taken quickly from the brilliant staff and service was fast too. The menu is large and easily has something for everyone. The mussel starter was brilliant, with a super sauce, good portion size, and lemon water bowl for finger cleaning too. Pizzas as the main were again a good size, with the toppings not being scrimped on and cooked well. The tiramisu desert was promised as being the best in Lincoln, and it lived up to the claim! Huge portion, presented well and memorable for all the right reasons. Prices were reasonable for the setting and levels of service, and I’d love to return next time I’m in the area!

Greeted promptly, friendly waitress/staff. Nice atmosphere. Order taken quickly and drinks arrived fast. Ordered the Cannelloni and it was nice and hot, very tasty. Good portion size that allowed me space for a dessert. Tiramisu was light and creamy. Only gripe is that a service charge is automatically added to your bill. We had great food and service, so if asked, would of agreed straight away to it, but what if that hadn't been the case?

Great place to eat and friendly staff. There is plenty of parking in the area (pay and display). Food was brilliant and was spot on for all of us. Disabled access is limited as being an old building and you will need help. The dinning area is tight but not to tight. Well worth a visit.

Food was terrific, prices reasonable. Decor and environment pleasant and toilets were kept spotless. Had to pester for delivery of drinks on three occasions during the meal as they kept going amiss, but otherwise great all around.

Brilliant. Fabulous food and wine, catered effortlessly for a large group. Staff were attentive and credit to them when one piazza needing changing, didn't bat an eye lid. Highly recommended 👌

We tried Gino's for lunch. It was quiet and we were seated and served quickly. The food was good and their lunch set menu is reasonable. Great for a quick shopping pit stop.

Please note this is a review for the Gino’s just around the corner on Bailgate, not the main restaurant. It’s a pleasant restaurant with a busy atmosphere, with nice staff. One of the staff however must’ve been new as he kept putting orders to the wrong table and was a bit muddled. Meals were fresh and hot and were nice to eat. I think the prices are a bit steep for food that is great, but not out of this world. Be aware there is a 10% service charge too, which is why my fiancé and I don’t eat here often. A nice treat though, all the same.

Manager got myself, husband and son in for a late booking on Father’s Day, they was really busy but we’d been somewhere else and didn’t get good service so left. Ginos is always great food and service. Even on the way out was offered free ice cream by the manager which was a lovely touch for my little boy!!

Last visit here was 2016, and it was not a very good time. This recent visit was to a newer extension of the restaurant on Steep Hill. The food was very good, and the garlic pizza bread starter was excellent. Service was OK, but they had to bring more staff on as restaurant filled. Note that for bigger parties, there is a 10% setvice charge added. Definitely recommended.

We ordered everything in one go as we had a tour of the castle booked straight after lunch, they were great and we had dinner eaten, left overs foil wrapped and ice cream to go within an hour. Calzone was very tasty. Kids portions were large. They could have shared a single portion. Kids eat free when adults order a meal between 1200 and 1430 which is a bonus when your on a budget.

I went there for my anniversary and the food there was really good. I did have a hair in my beed filled spaghetti so they replaced it and get my free side bread. The best part though was the cheesecake. It was incredibly delicious and it felt so light and fluffy.

Time of visit: Monday 8pm Food was really good! Better than expected. The lasagne was 5tier pasta with delicious fresh tasting tomatoe sauce. Excellent location near the cathedral and castle. Prices reasonable. Service good. Good decor. (It's not Gino de campo restaurant) Would definitely come back.
