Friendly greeting, swift order taking, food on the table not long after ordering, all friendly and cheery staff very attentive. Fantastic fish and chips and great atmosphere. Highly recommend

Where to start. Excellent quality food and service. Generous portion sizes (smaller ones available). Chips fresh and fluffy, slightly crisped, not greasy. Fish perfectly prepared, moist without being soggy with fresh taste and crispy batter (had the hoki special, very much recommend). Scampi was fresh and hot and again well balanced between batter and prawn content. Sweet chilli sauce was actually slightly spicy as it is supposed to be.
Service was good, very friendly, our server was able to answer our questions easily and was very polite. The staff were attentive and helpful.
Atmosphere was very chilled and holy-of-holies, grace of all the beneficent beings, it was security camera free so we could eat without feeling spied on and actually relax the old fashion way (may this never change in here). The corner bench seat is very comfortable and not a leather one sticks to. Silverware was well polished and the cut glasses were a nice decorative touch instead of the usual worn out coke or plain glasses you get elsewhere.
Really nice here, food, staff and prices are excellent. I would strongly recommend the Elire fish and chip restaurant. Not so good today when we visited, the fish was very very grees greasy
We had an excellent evening celebrating the Royal Marines corps birthday. Excellent service, lovely staff, delicious food.
Nothing was too much trouble for our big party of 26.
We will definitely be back.
What a great find, Haddock was very tasty in a light batter, chips could have been more consistent but there were lots of them. Mushy peas as a must were great, not salty or artificial, gravy wasn't overpowering and the splash of tartare sauce was delightfully recommended. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated, light with adequate toilet facilities.
Been past this place a few times while visiting surrounding shops etc, decided to call in and try it one day, really glad we did. We had a meal deal, fish, chips, drink, bread and butter, the whole meal was lovely, and there was a constant stream of people coming in for food. There is also a takeaway if you don't want to sit in, and a few benches to sit on outside, if you've not been, it's definitely worth a visit. We'll be back soon for sure.
Great place for fish and chips at a good price. Good that they serve it in different sizes so nothing goes to waste.
We go here quite a lot and have always enjoyed the fish and chips, the staff are pleasant and friendly and make you feel welcome. The portions are of a good size too we have their meal deal which includes bread and butter and a drink. Can highly recommend 😊
I don't live in Lincoln, I visit fairly regularly from south wales for work and I love to visit this chippy. I've never had anything bad. The mushy peas are lush, the fish is beautiful, the chips are delicious and remind me of how chips used to taste. The jumbo sausages are next level. I visited today and took home a further 3 jumbo sausages just so my family at home wouldn't feel jealous and left out. See you again soon.
PWS (SE) and (MD) appear to have enjoyed the whole experience from the food they had fish and chips with side order, drinks and a pudding.
Both individual and support worker appreciated the good service and polite and pleasant atmosphere and all would recommend restaurant for quality and pricing as a well deserved treat. 🙂
Had fish chips and a small battered sausage with a tarter sauce and tomato sauce sachet £12.55. Haddock was nice but as most places they seem thinner than normal portions, fish and sausage was slightly greasy. Chips were cooked well nice light and fluffy, plenty of salt and vinegar. Google told me it's been 8 years since I last came here ! Would recommend here still
I visited last night and had some of the best fish and chips that I have had in a long long time. On top of that, the restaurant staff were very friendly and professional. Will certainly be returning.
I visit every month, on this occasion like some other times everything is cooked to perfection, crispy hold it in your hand battered fish with chips, plain large sausage and tried the onion rings today.
Sat outside on the benches provided. Il return because of the quality today. Very happy.
Friendly staff, a large choice of meals and reasonable prices too. An ok choice of beers as well, nothing craft but some real ale in bottles (nothing on keg or cask). But then you come for the fish and chips, not the beer. Large and spacious car park.
I have to say this place is so good. The batter on the fish is so light. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time
