Great location in Lincoln overlooking the castle walls down a small alley, outside seating available and dog friendly too. The food was reasonably priced and good quality, staff were friendly and the food came out really quickly. I had the bacon and Brie panini while my wife and daughter had jacket potatoes with coronation chicken and tuna mayo, we also ordered some chocolate cake which was delicious. Great little find in the heart of Lincoln.

Excellent cafe with equally wonderful staff. Quick service. The food was very tasty with a very good sized serving. Located almost opposite the cathedral and around the corner from the castle it could not be better placed. If I had to pick one thing that knocked a star off it’s the fact that they don’t serve a full English breakfast. That said, we chose scrambled egg on toast with bacon which was fabulous and to be fair made a change from a full English, I do understand that the lack of that particular breakfast could be a real letdown but if you give something else a go you won’t be disappointed. Well run, clean and above all very friendly. Cost wise it was very reasonable, so much so that we went back a lunchtime for soup, which was obviously homemade that day. Needless to say it was also very tasty. If we are ever in Lincoln again we wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

My husband and I came in on a busy Saturday lunchtime and were fortunate to get a table. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the sandwiches were very well filled in lovely fresh bread. The climb to the top of the hill was definitely worth it and we will certainly be returning again

Lovely quaint cafe just off the Main Street in Lincoln, nice and warm on a cold winters day. We had hot chocolates and scones, all large and homemade, lots of value for money. There was a huge menu of sandwiches and things, no full meals though. Servers were incredibly polite and helpful, giving other people directions to get a full English. Prices were reasonable, 6 of us got a drink and snack for about £30. Will definitely be returning if we go back to Lincoln.

Tucked away from the main street, so wasn't busy when we went. Very clean. Friendly staff. We had jacket potatoes with chilli, cheese and a side salad. Latte and a pot of tea that came with plenty of fresh milk. All very nice. Well worth a visit here to see the Victorian /Edwardian chemist's cabinets.

Lovely spot, just off the beaten track, can't fault it for welcome and food, great choice and cooked fresh. The best sausage sandwich I've ever had. Nothing was to much trouble dog friendly inside and out and marvellous staff. 😀

Nice stop for afternoon tea. Each pot makes about two cups, ask for the tea menu as a wide selection of teas available (vs. Just the usual English Breakfast), and nice selection of scones and cakes.

Popped in at lunchtime and found it quite busy. The food was prepared in a small kitchen area but to a very high standard. Nothing seemed to much trouble and they happily changed menu item contents due to dietary requirements. Will certainly visit again.

I went here today with a friend and it was quiet, charming and the sausage roll was good with ketchup. They accommodated me with my new carbless tendencies and I was very happy there. Looking forward to going back, a gem in the bail and a piece of rest x

Always walked past and not been able to go in as busy. Today we got a seat outside and enjoyed the sunshine, people watching, as well as the best cherry scone and a drink. Pleasant friendly staff. Great service. Great prices. Definitely recommend for light bites and refreshments. Will 100% be going again.
