My son and I had a trip up to Lincoln to see a friend. I found the Pyewipe online and it did not disappoint. I had problems with my car and what was supposed to be a 1 night stay turned into a 3 night stay. Sarah and her team were really accommodating to us giving us the same room every night as it was more spacious for my son to play. We were pretty much stuck in the hotel for 3 days with bad rain. My belly pork Dinner was absolutely delicious. My sons portions of food were good sizes. We felt well looked after and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and it’s a lovely setting. Look forward to staying there again next time we return.
Always great food, freshly cooked, and excellent service. Over the 15 years, I never had a bad meal here. The deserts are also worth trying. We love coming here on the sunny days. The outside eating area is nice, and you can watch boats on the river.
Stayed overnight at The Pyewipe Inn whilst visiting family in Lincoln. It's set away from the main road in a beautiful setting at the side of the canal and has ample parking. On our arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff and were swiftly checked in. The accommodation is a separate building to the main pub which is only a minutes walk away across the car park. The room was clean, modern and a good size with plenty of cupboard/hanging space, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries. The bed was comfortable meaning we got a good night's sleep and the breakfast was delicious. Orders are taken at the table and food is cooked fresh. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend The Pyewipe Inn.
I can't comment on the rooms because I haven't stayed there but the staff and the pub are really good. You can park your car in Skellingthorpe Village for free, and it's a lovely 1.5-mile walk to the Pyewipe down an old train track that has been converted for walkers and cyclists. The food is really nice and a pint of delicious Guinness...the walk back again, what could be better.
Accomodation in a separate block from the Inn. Comfortable room, well appointed, particularly liked the pod coffee maker and the fact they replace the biscuits you eat. Internet a bit spotty and shower tray very slow to drain. Restaurant excellent.
Lovely setting, alongside the Fossdyke Navigation. Perfect for cyclists and walking to Lincoln, which takes about 50 minutes. Plenty of seating outside on the spacious terrace and garden. Very pretty.
Room spacious and well appointed but looking a little tired. Comfortable bed with tea and coffee making facilities.
Walking distance 40 minutes from Lincoln centre along the river bridal path. Easily accessible by car off the A57. Had a lunch meal there, the food was excellent with a good selection on the menu. Eat in or out in the river view garden/Patio over looking the river watching the boats go by. The only thing when eating out that disturbes the peaceful tranquil atmosphere is the trains going by occasionally as the main line going into and out of Lincoln is right next to the river on the opposite side. Other wise it was handy for a drink and meal on a lovely sunny walk.
Stayed here for a night, in one of the nicest rooms I've stayed in. Spotless, comfortable bed and very quiet. The pub is also really nice, tasteful decor, and a nice outdoor seating area. Had a couple of pints, and lunch which was perfectly cooked. Although it's slightly expensive, I'd say for the service, quality, and location it's worth it.
Great pub. Wonderful service and delicious food. If we return to the area, will be top of the list to revisit.
Really good location next to the river and in the evening sunshine it was a delight.
Visited a couple of times during a stay in the local area. The burgers were tasty and there was a good selection of drinks. Nice outdoor space by the canal. Food is not cheap but is tasty and popular with locals and holidaymakers.
