Reviews Royal William Iv

We had Sunday dinner here as a family, earlier this year in June. Staff were accommodating finding us a table straight away, & we didn’t have to wait long for food to be served either. All of our food was cooked perfectly, with us all having dessert to finish. Definitely a good location for the scenery.

First time here and won’t be the last, incredible Sunday roast dinner, so full of flavours. Highly recommended for Sunday dinner.

In Lincoln for weekend, booked Royal William IV for meal on their website via phone, got email confirmation and were ready for us when we turned up an hour later. Great meal, had the steak and ale pie, all others in group enjoyed their meals, had choice for vegetarians, Alice was a great waitress too...

Updated review from a year ago, my recent visit the food wasn't as good. I ordered fish and chips and the chips were not very well cooked and soggy. The dish didn't really have much flavour. The person with me had king prawn salad and sweet potato fries, which she said was nice

Cute little place. We came to visit from London didn’t realise it was dog friendly so left the dog! Lunch was nice, slightly London prices but nice pub.

Three of us popped in for a meal on Monday evening, having been in the week before for a quick pint and liking the look of the menu. First and foremost, the starters and mains were excellent, very tasty, varied and well presented. The desserts came across as perhaps bought in and a little underwhelming, considering the high quality of the two previous courses. The only thing that stops this being a 5 star review is the clear lack of staff. The waitress who served us (and seemingly most around us) was absolutely brilliant at her job, but clearly needed more staff on to help spread the work load. Granted it was probably busier than a normal Monday evening (which is good to see in such a lovely pub!), but I'd expect a city centre pub to be prepared for the odd extra customer on any given night, particularly in school holiday season. We will definitely be back soon 😁

A nice riverside location. Removed the bit about it being a Wetherspoons after being told it's not. Makes the place even better, and worthy of 5 stars

Great pub very dog friendly, The food was superb. It was so good we returned the following night. They also have a quiz on a Tuesday which was great fun. Very cosy with a great selection of beers, the staff are very helpful and attentive. Highly recommended some of the best food we have had in Lincoln the pulled pork is amazing.

This is a great little pub in an excellent setting, we bring our visiting friends and family here. Sometimes just for a pint and their chips and dips combo, which was a hit. Other times to have a meal then go and sit by the water or the fireplace and finish off a bottle of wine (or two).

The experience at this pub was jarring, not in a bad way but it's not what you expect on the inside based on what you see when looking at the building. The menu is very modern and full of amazing options for everyone, they accommodate for dogs and the staff were super friendly and helpful. It's not the traditional pub you expect when first walking in, but it's still nice. The only downside is the sundah menu doesn't have a great deal of variety. But the food we did have was very good, definatly try the chicken burger!

Really nice place and food was excellent and staff were so nice. We are regular visitors to Lincoln and can’t believe we hadn’t been here for lunch before. The fact it’s dog friendly is even better and they even have a dog’s menu which was so unexpected but brilliant. Allergen’s are marked on the menus but you have to ask for the GF menu. Will definitely visit here again.
