What impresses me about this gem of a place is the quality of the ingredients....the chef is truly a magician. Well presented, cooked with a flare for flavour. Charming 0lace, highly highly recommended. Service impeccable, great atmosphere...it has it all.

Excellent food.. unbelievable to actually get decent lunch in a pub, so often do you visit or are recommended to eat somewhere and it turns out to be disappointing..

Bakewell Tart is brilliant, Tiger prawn starter amazing, bread and butter pudding and custard is fresh, decor lovely, overall food experience is great. I'd recommend.

Excellent menu. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Couldn't fault the cooking or the presentation of the food. The service was good too. Only 'faults' were that we weren't asked if we would like water with our meal nor if any sauces (in our case horseradish) were required. Will definitely

Food is about as good as it gets, without being Gordon Ramsey. Its expensive but not Jamie Oliver expensive. And you can usually get a table so the prices can be prohibitive to many.
Still, a really nice restaurant pub; good real ales, attentive well trained young bar staff and the wonderful food. I
