The Old Bakery Restaurant - Lincoln - Photo album

Sunday lunch, we were served by James who was excellent. He went to lengths to make sure that everyone was comfortable. He could see that my good lady was struggling with the temperature and moved us to a cooler room that was perfect. The food was amazing, a chicken liver parfait was full of flavor.
I stayed with my daughter at The Old Bakery and we treated ourselves to the tasting menu as a deal package and what a treat it was. The two chefs are at the top of their game. We are gluten free and nothing was too much trouble for them to tweak their menu and ensure we had a wonderful experience t
This could so easily be a five star venue. It's just lacking a slightly better drinks offering and perhaps the deserts let it down a little. But the venue is pleasant and the staff were both pleasant and attentive. The starters and mains were both excellent. A disappointment with the cheese board wa
First visit under new ownership: friendly welcome on arrival. Sympathetic refurb. Love eating in the conservatory on a sunny day - rear door opened for fresh air! Delicious lunch and great selection including Gluten Free options. Very quick to clear empty plates - could be left a little longer, but
Had an excellent bottomless brunch today. Food was delicious as were the free flowing cocktails and prosecco!! Poppy was very attentive and patient 😉😂 will definitely be back!!
Would definitely recommend the tasting menu. Absolutely fantastic service and the chef seemed very invested in giving us the best experience. The venue was lovely too, relaxed yet cozy. Overall, the perfect choice for celebrating our special occasion and would definitely visit again.
A great place if you want food that is prepared slightly differently with wonderful flavours. The Wine list is quite select and in a range of prices to satisfy most pockets. The service is very very good and any questions are happily answered. No doubt we will return again.
Great service and the food was 100%. Recommend the lamb. Run as a non profit with Lincoln Council - well worth supporting as a local business.
Asparagus starter lovely butter beans with a great dressing . Sunday roast beef main, perfectly presented and freshly cooked vegetables followed by a Rhubarb bakewell. Served by a knowledgeable staff in pleasant surroundings. Fab start to lovely afternoon
The best meal we have had in an age. Brodie greeted us and looked after our every need. We selected the tasting menu which was fantastic. He explained all the paired wines with skill. Honestly the best service we have ever had. Felt like we were in an episode of Masterchef. The atmosphere and decor
Excellent food and the paired wines were spot on! Tasting menu was well balanced and quantity was well judged. We didn't have the optional cheese course but those with bigger appetites would have enjoyed it, I'm sure. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Smallish rooms but then, it's a very old
A last minute booking, what a pleasure! Dinner, overnight stay and breakfast. Lovely atmosphere. We stayed in room 3 it was quirky, comfortable, we loved the added extras like homemade cookies and enjoyed a bubble bath in the spacious en-suite. Walking distance to the city centre, perfect for a visi
Just stayed one night. Concerned that the room we got (1) didn't have en-suite, however it does have a private bathroom. Robes provided. Clean and tidy, nice sheets and pillows. Coffee facilities and big TV. A bit small, but adequate. Suited our needs.
Went for Sunday lunch, really good value for money at 24.95 for three courses. I had soup, beef and chocolate delice, my partner had mackerel, venison and the banana pudding and a cheeseboard. The bread was tasty and the amuse boucher was okay. The soup was great, velvety and nice flavour, the macke
Just had a lovely meal at The Old Bakery. The braising beef was like cutting butter, so tender. Service was friendly and attentive.
Best meal we've had so far! They were so accommodating with our dietary requirements. I had the beef as the main, it was out of this world. Tender, and tasty. Just a perfect meal to celebrate a birthday and 60th wedding anniversary.
