Had a lovely 2 course meal today. The pie of the day was Game and it was superb. Had the brownie for pudding which again was lovely. A really good price at lunchtime; 2 courses for £13.95. A really nice atmosphere and fabulous food. I recommend a visit

The food was amazing, some of the best I'd eaten on my vacation in England, and the staff was very nice. The place is a little small, but what isn't in England!

Been a customer of BPS for 20 years ...for me it's the best it's ever been ...as a lad from the North West loving the 'proper' pies encased in pastry rather that the puff pastry top (although they are delicious too) ...great food, also more than just pies !

Came across Browns whilst out for a stroll and decided to give it a try. The food and service were superb, best pie that I've ever tasted. Managed to eat three courses and highly recommend the Bakewell tart and custard to finish off! Will go again next time I'm in Lincoln.

Went here for the first time yesterday after hearing good things about it. It definitely lived up to expectations, I had belly pork for starter and lamb pie for main, both were absolutely delicious and portion sizes are huge! Fantastic quality and really good prices. I will be recommending to everyone I know!

Fabulous, tasty food. A little too dark inside for my taste but did not take away from the quality of the food.

A small and intimate restaurant that specializes in homemade pies and home style cooking. Loved the chicken, leek and mushroom pie. Great consistency and divine flakey pastry on top. Mrs wolfed down her steak and kidney pie and our friend thoroughly enjoyed her small serve of risotto.
Friendly and efficient service in a venue steeped in olde world history.

Amazing. Wish we had a place like this back home in the US (hint: open one in Orlando, FL). The stuffed mushrooms, a vegetarian option, were amazing! The mushrooms were tender, the stuffing was an excellent compliment, and the cheese was just the right amount and flavor. The lamb pie was incredible too, just the right amount of broth. Had the roly poly for dessert which introduced me to a new fruit called the physalis which both were excellent. The dessert was covered with custard - in the US custard is typically frozen or whipped, this was a liquid like crème anglaise. I hope I make it back some time again!

Delicious!. Warm atmosphere, attentive staff, and especially worth a lunch time visit for the same great service and delicious food at a bargain price! I have frequented Brown's on many an occasion and have never been disappointed, good honest food with the attention focused solely on this, no unnecessary show off gimmicks, and special compliments to the accompanying veg, always cooked to perfection with that bite and crunch so many other eateries just miss. I cannot praise this place enough. A must visit for all.

Visited Browns Pie Shop today, 14th October . Browns Pie Shop is worth a visit to Lincoln on its own. The restaurant is fabulous, and the food is excellent. It's one of the best pies I have ever tasted. My wife had a different type of pie to me, and they were both fabulous. The staff are so pleasant and very helpful. The service was excellent. There is a great atmosphere in the old building. Can't wait till we can visit again.

Nothing better than entering autumn with a lovely pie and mash. My partner and I visited Lincoln for the day to see the cathedral and stopped off here for lunch, I had the steak and Stilton pie with mash and my partner had the chicken and chorizo pie with chips; this food definitely feels like it’s made with love, care and attention and we weren’t shocked to find out the pies were homemade. Best pie I’ve ever had; and great service 🥧

The food is delicious and the staff are lovely. If you’re looking for a place to eat in Lincoln - I would highly recommend Brown’s Pie Shop. The setting is great too - a beautiful old building where T.E. Lawrence once lived.

Amazing sausage roll! I thought it would come in a small portion as a snack or appetizer, but it was so big, I almost didn’t need dinner. The puff pastry was crispy and buttery, the pork filling just so good. Must try!

A guy from work brought a sausage roll into the office. I mocked him for paying £4. I tried it and it is the best sausage roll I've ever tasted. Well worth £4. Can't wait to find the time to pop in for a pie.

Had a very nice lunch. I had the cheese pot pie, friend had belly pork. Both had cheesecake for pudding which I highly recommend. Also the hot chocolate is too die for. I will definitely return. Super busy, staff were still friendly and happy.

Lovely meal, arrived around 12.15, plenty of seating, warm and welcoming service. Beef and ale, chicken and leek pies for the adults - served on a bed of mash with seasonal veg - broccoli, red cabbage and swede, all very tasty. Kids meals were also very good. Family of four ate for just under £50.

Fab! I loved the braised pork (don't quote me on the name!) and the location is lovely, a minute walk from the magnificent Lincoln cathedral. A wee suggestion, the wine by the glass was good enough, but I felt it was not up to scratch with the rest. Still a full 5 star rating for me. The service was perfect, friendly, discrete and attentive as it should be. Next time I'll try one of those pies...

Outstanding food, excellent service. We booked Browns out for my stag and could not have been happier with the decision. From the minute the starter arrived, until we all left, it was just a whole room full of repeated foodgasms. A special mention to quite possibly the best sausage roll I have ever had and the Steak and Kidney pie was spectacular. We will definitely be back. A huge Thank you to the team at Browns!!

Came to Lincoln for a day trip, googled where the best sausage rolls were and found this gem!! 2 takeaway sausage rolls later and we both agree they're the best we've ever had!

I was a bit hesitant to go to a place that looks a tourist trap however some friends who live here recommended it if what we wanted was a pie. Place was a bit small and tables were quite close to each other. Food was correct, tasty although pies could have been a big bigger. The soufflé we ordered as a starter was delicious.
