Friendly, knowledgable staff make this place a very comfortable, relaxing place to eat. There's no pressure, but there's plenty of different kinds of tea to choose from. If I fancy a curry, this is definitely the first place I think of to go to, the portion sizes are very generous and if you can squeeze one in - they have some of the most delicious vegan desserts in Lincoln!
My new favourite place to eat. Such a welcoming, relaxing and warm environment which is something you find rarely these days. Beautifully healthy, homemade food for a fraction of the price compared to other restaurants in the area.
I've tried the Dhaal, Pasanda and Banana Korma and loved them ALL. Such good flavours, especially their homemade coconut chutney which is to die for.
A genuine place with a lot of soul and great for any diet. I'm a meat eater and certainly didn't miss it being at Shanti.
This is such a little gem in the City Centre. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming along with the staff. The food choices are great and well priced. The food itself is a treat for both the eyes and the tastebuds. Great place to go for a filling meal �
I can't rate the staff, service, and amazing food enough I've been there three times and can't wait to go again. I highly recommend you try it

Shanti offer fantastic value for money. Their food from currys/stews/falafal/beanburgers/cakes are fabulous vegan and veggie grub!! A meat eater would be happy to eat here and not think they were 'missing' out by not having meat on their plates!! Simply fantastic food/venue/atmosphere can't recommend highly enough!!!
Great choice of food, specials and tea! Friendly staff and comprehensive menu. Small cafe but plenty of seating available. Delicious sweet potato fries and the Shanti burger was tasty. Colourful decoration and calm atmosphere with plenty to look at! Will have to come back and try something different as there was too much choice!
Yesterday evening my friend and I dined at Cafe Shanti. I have eaten here before (surprisingly, this was only my second visit) but it was the first time for my friend. Even though the place is small it's not closed and suffocating but provides a calm and relaxing atmosphere. We didn't have much time as we were due to go to the theatre (I got my timings wrong) - but the service was quick so we had enough time for our mains. There's plenty of choice - from light bites to main meals. The food is very reasonable and the portions are generous. The staff were warm and friendly. Unfortunately due to time pressures we didn't have time for any desserts- meaning I'll be paying another visit soon! With the place being quite small you do leave smelling like a kitchen- but this doesn't affect or take away from your dining experience. I highly recommend Cafe Shanti and will definately be returning!!
Such a lovely place, I'm a meat eater myself but love coming here. The food is delicious, the atmosphere so relaxing and the staff is lovely, wouldn't mind paying twice as much! Just such an amazing place :)
Great food, try it even if you are not vegan, get the mixed platter if it's your first time.

A sterling place. After my daughter went ballistic whilst there the staff were really calm and didn't judge, happily just took my requests for a takeaway & were kind to my sad one. The clientele were also lovely which I think is a real credit to the ambience the staff have created. The food was lovely too!! I'll be visiting again, probably on my own as I need 5 minutes ha ha! Thanks Cafe Shanti for making me feel at ease!!

We visited on a Monday lunch time with no need to book. We had the two curry dishes which were tasty and the mac n cheese balls which were really good! Lovely to have a choice of different vegan hot chocolates, smoothies and milkshakes. A lot of choice on the menu. The two ladies working were attentive and polite. Maybe the place lacked a bit of atmosphere but that's only because it was quiet in there. Great to have an all vegan restaurant!
We absolutely love Cafe Shanti, fabulous food, super friendly staff and service and all at a good price. We always visit when we're in Lincoln, best Vegan food around. Definitely recommend Cafe Shanti even if you're not vegan, you won't be disappointed!

There's a good selection of ice cream, I've tried 2 flavours and they are delicious.
Last time I tried the tofu tikka and it was delicious, it came with a nan bread, poppadom and mango chutney.
This time I had the chilli, delicious too.
The service is fast and friendly.
The portions are a good size and the prices are very reasonable.
I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!
Always welcoming to everyone and such a lovely place to stop and have some really tasty food. The atmosphere is beautiful, food always tastes great, and lots of choice so there's always something new to try! Wonderful cakes each week to look forward to!
Such a cute, cosy, boho atmosphere here and very reasonably priced! I ordered the Mac and Cheeze Balls and a coconut iced latte (pretty sure they do most mull alternatives) and both were delicious. I loved the Balls as they’re something different and unique, as most Vegan Restaurants solely do just burgers it’s nice for a different option.
Staff are lovely and friendly as always, really accommodating and friendly environment. Will definitely be returning h for more of their ice cream and another coffee.
Most diverse food menu ever ?!?! There’s so much choice and it’s completely vegan with the interior being such a cosy, accommodating space.
Our food was incredible - I highly recommend the Shanti burger with a side of cheesy curly fries. The vegan cheese was potentially the best we’ve ever had.
Side note - cash or bank transfer only which we weren’t aware of until going to pay with card. Not a big issue as there is a cash point not too far away but good to know in advance.

Super lovely place, very welcoming. Had a late supper there with my vegan daughter. Fully vegan menu - I had the (not) chicken burger, chips, guacamole dip - and a very minty lemonade. There is a small downstairs area and a newly installed cosy upstairs area which suited us very well.
Super lovely staff and really great food. Were more than happy to change our booking when we needed to. Can't wait to visit again, usually you have to travel further afield to the bigger cities to get vegan food this good so I'm happy Lincoln has Cafe Shanti!

Went to this amazing place Saturday evening. Was greeted by Mel who was very lovely and looked after us so well. I've visited here before but not since Mel and Jo have taken it over. The place is so nice with a great relaxing atmosphere and the food was fantastic! I was very impressed with the menu. It had something for eveyone and very reasonably priced. If you've not been you definitely have to give it a go!
Gorgeous little cafe ran by fantastic staff. Really nice setting opposite the theatre so handy for pre show eats and the coffee is great too! Great selection of vegan food in a relaxed atmosphere with very attentive staff.
Love this place ❤️ has an extensive menu. All made fresh. Wish I was staying in Lincoln longer so I could try everything on the menu. Warm welcome from friendly & knowledgeable staff, chilled zen atmosphere.
Very cute bohemian little spot. Affordable menu, great choice of vegan food. Protein shakes and a wonderful cake selection too. Service was attentive and the satmosphere nice and relaxing. Would definitely visit again. They do take out too!
We eat here semi regularly. The food is excellent vegan comfort food. Flavourful and filling. The staff and atmosphere is friendly and welcoming to all. They will also help you if you are feeling unsafe when out and about. They are a business that really lives their ethos of kindness and inclusion.
Lovely friendly little vegan cafe, very colourful with fantastic tasty food, well worth a visit for something a little different. Had the loaded chips followed by a very delicious ice cream sundae. A good varied menu of food to choose from.
A wonderful little café in Lincoln - beautiful atmosphere with all the decorations and style of this place, really easy to book reservations, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Being a vegan it's difficult to find places with decent vegan food, but here is fully vegan! A great range of food, including curries, burgers, pizzas, salads, fajitas, and more! Desserts are great too! Non-dairy ice cream was amazing and the smoothies are great too. Very affordable as well which is great. Faultless.
Great little Vegetarian & Vegan cafe. Thoughtful menu, with a good range from eggs Benedict to Nepalese inspired mains. Super choice and very reasonably priced. Good tea range too. A must.
