I went recently to this restaurant I had a lovely meal and so did my all of my family I went with, couldn't of thought of a better place to take my family for lunch, the service was brilliant we had a young lady with blonde hair (didn't get her name) who went the extra mile for us, she had a good knowledge of the menu and checked on us though out our time there. I would highly recommend !

The food is good and plentiful. The staff are very pleasant, and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The coffee is just right. The steak & kidney pies are homemade as are the scones. The scones are made to an original recipe and are lovely and fluffy. We will be going back!
Although they were very busy and warned us we would have to wait quite a while for our food, it arrived quite quickly and was scrumptious. A really interesting building I look forward to going again
It is exactly what you expect from a Traditional Tea shop
this old black and white timber framed house is very popular with tourists and locals.they do traditional afternoon teas, morning coffees, lunches.the food and service is excellent .i really like the old, quirky building, not sure how accessible it is for the disabled but i'm sure they would try to accomodate.famous for its chocolate creations, buy something tasty to take home with you.
The whitewashed walls and the black timber frames of the Tudor of Lichfield hint at its historical past, and make it quite a striking site on the modern high street. The place has a great feeling about it as soon as you walk in, the waiting on staff are impeccably dressed and nothing is too much trouble. The inside of the cafe is just as impressive as on the outside, with the walls clad in dark wood, adorned with the occasional historical picture or tapestry. It is quite a spacious place, with a good variety of tables and seating, for smaller and larger parties; a minibus load of people came in when we were there.
Menu wise, a huge variety from the homemade cakes like Bara brith, Millionaires Shortbread, Victoria Sponge, that sat temptingly in glass domes on a sideboard near to our table, to snacks like toast, sandwiches, teacakes etc. There was also a comprehensive range of cooked meals, like lasagne, chilli etc. Drinks wise, again a vast range of speciality teas, coffees and wine. Pity it was only mid-morning when we visited or we might have been tempted to sample more than just toast off the menu! As you go to pay there is a whole counter full of homemade chocolates and sweets too including sugared pigs!
great place, what a setting, homemade cakes etc. Choice of speciality teas/coffees at reasonable prices too. Well worth a visit.
Traditional lunch. Good experience in over 500 years old property. 🤣🤣
Excellent food and atmosphere. We had some tea, which was good. The omelette with mushrooms was excellent as was the ham and cheese sandwich, and the scones were good too. The building dates back to 1510, and feels that old inside. The waitstaff was all attentive and gracious, until we were ready for our check. Not a big deal. Behind this establishment is the tiny winding alley right out of Harry Potter, with small shops like ice cream, crystals, puppy products.
Love this tearoom in genuine period building. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is an excellent selection of Belgian chocolates to go with your coffee or to take home.
First time coming here and will definitely be coming here again. Lovely service and lovely old building. The hubby said the full breakfast was amazing and the omelette I had was good.
Excellent food! Staff very obliging! My husband had the liver and bacon, I had the steak and ale pie. All home made and cooked, fresh vegetables, delicious 😋
No change in 50 years! Still as welcoming and friendly as it was when I used to be bought one of their iconic sugar mice when I was a child. The lady who served us couldn't have been nicer and our pot of special blend Tudor tea was just what we needed. Next time I'm hoping to buy some of the artisan chocolates. They looked amazing.
Lovely old place with a lot of history . The food is excellent . I have been there a few times over the years and it is always very good .
What a gem, catered for my gluten free requirements and the service was impeccable and very friendly. As was my first visit to the city they were both knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely visit again when in the vicinity.
Went there the other day and had a nice afternoon tea. Staff were very polite and even through I hadn't booked in advance for afternoon tea, they sorted it for me anyway.
Inside they have a decent assortment of cakes and other related treats and have three different rooms all reasonably spaced. Overall the atmosphere was nice and cozy and if I was in the area I would visit again.
Enjoyed a lovely turkey baguette and roast pork & pigs in blankets cob. Staff were very warm and friendly menu is good and prices reasonable.
Deceptively deep cafe, good food, friendly staff stunning chocolates, worth a visit,
