We called in the tea room for lunch and had the quiche salad and a ploughmans lunch. Service was really quick and the food was excellent. Prices were good too. I can highly recommend this lovely place.

I love the fact that they make all their own cakes and desserts, I had the biggest piece of cheesecake and it was to die for....delicious

A huge thank you to the chef at Mabel's. She made an amazing vegan birthday cake for me last week, and this week she accommodated us for vegan afternoon tea. She came up with a variety of different nibbles and treats all of which were creative, beautiful and delicious. She really does put extra care into her work and made sure we had a wonderful time for Mother's Day. Thanks so much!

Love this new place (new in Oct 2020 anyway!) I went for afternoon tea one Sunday afternoon with my wife and two kids. Very friendly waitress who took the time to chat and she was very informed about the menu. Massive chocolate brownie which was very nice. I had scone with cream and jam which was very nice indeed!

I preordered the afternoon tea as a treat last week. The staff were really helpful via email and when collecting. The afternoon tea itself was delicious! The range of sandwiches and sweet options was great. We had a lovely afternoon locked down eating it all! Thank you so much! Weill be back for more soon!

Nice coffee house & country restaurant that's part of the Litchfield Garden & Antiques centre. Lovely range of cake too! Adequate free parking for all. Good menu to suit all tastes. Nice informal coffee lounge that has an awesome wood burner keeping the place toasty warm! Interesting site to look around.

Went here today with friends for lunch. Easy to find & lots of (free) parking. The lunch menu isn't huge & hosts the usual sorts of things - jackets, sandwiches & soup but very reasonably priced. I ordered from the specials board, which offered a varied selection of hot meals - I had sausage Wellington. My friend ordered at the counter, which took a while but within minutes our food was served to us by a friendly waitress. Although the food was served extremely quickly it didn't appear to have been reheated or microwaved, I can just assume the kitchen is super organised! It was very nice - veg was cooked well, not soggy & it was a good portion, very good value for money! We then ordered cake, which again meant ordering at the counter... There was a long queue with only one lady serving who was very stressed; situation made worse that she was not only taking the hot food orders but making hot drinks & serving cakes as people ordered. Cake again was very nice! The dining room was very clean & tidy with a good, homely atmosphere. All the crockery & cutlery was in good condition - no chips in sight. Didn't use the loo so can't comment. Will definitely go again - going to try the afternoon tea next time which sounds fab!

Lovely fresh baked cakes and good variety of food and drinks, but seriously need a change of staff only one lady with a pleasant attitude. The others so unwelcoming and omg the one waitress' face was enough to turn the milk sour, not happy in her job. Don't let the staff put you off though as food is lovely and the real looking fire in the dinning room section is welcoming on a day like today.

Love stopping off at this place during a cycle ride. Very good quality cakes and good coffee make it a real treat. Can get busy on sunny weekends on account of the garden centre next door

We held our father's wake here in October - after public opening hours - and were very impressed with both the quantity and quality of the food, especially the delicious cakes (4 huge ones - fruit, carrot, chocolate and Victoria sponge). The staff were also very kind in supplying bags for us and our guests to take the leftover cake away, so that it didn't go to waste. Very good value at £6.50 a head for tea/coffee, sandwiches, savoury nibbles and cake.

Great cakes, food can be expensive. A great little place located just outside Lichfield, a proper little gem. Many shops which offer unique gifts for various occasions. Mables is a great restaurant which has history. Food is seasonal I believe and is quite expensive, but the setting is worth it. Staff are friendly and has a feel of it is ran by a family. Highly recommend popping in.

A great place for breakfast, lunch , afternoon tea, or just a quick drink & cake stop. They always try to have at least one gluten free home baked cake available.

Absolutely delicious cakes! I buy a big one quite often, even when it's not a special occasion. Have yet to sample all the menu as I do have some firm favourites.
