Love this gem of a place, great find. Feel like I'm on holiday every time I go in there....it is so authentic. All the staff are famous, very attentive and the food...well it's second to none....wow. A must try at least if you're
passing.

Arrived here on a very busy Saturday night without a booking, but was given a table which was great. Both food and service were great, and the place has a very pleasant and lively atmosphere.
The only issue I had was trying to decide what to have from the menu, so many delicious dishes to choose from.

It was a little disappointing as I love Italian food. The starter and the main were not up to par in my opinion, and the main was not very hot. There was a large table booking while we were there, which probably didn't help but also made it very loud, and as I am slightly hard of hearing, it was not easy to have a conversation. Who knows, on another night, this place may be fine, but i wouldn't rush back to find out. If the meal had been better, the value would be good.

Overall the restaurant is nice. However the atmosphere is bit noisy. Food is fine. But a it is considerably small portion when you ordered something other than pizza. Staff is friendly. Toilet facilities are available and clean. Situated in the city centre. So easily can reach.

We went here for a rare night out as we managed to get a babysitter - woo! We did pre-book and glad we did as people were being turned away when we arrived due to being fully booked. We sat in the window seat and ordered a platter to share that had squid, king prawns, olives, ham, mozzarella, tomatoes and roasted vegetables(I think that was everything!) The squid was cooked perfectly and everything else was really tasty! For mains we both went for risottos. A “p&c” risotto and a porcini risotto. The porcini risotto was absolutely gorgeous and my wife was very impressed with hers. For desserts we both went for a trio of ice cream - the lemon ice cream was very strong and I can imagine it might be a bit overpowering for some people, I however thought it was great. The hazelnut ice cream was lovely too. Overall the food was flawless and the servers were very polite. If I was being really picky I would say that they didn’t ask us for drink refills enough but on the other hand it was a Saturday night and the place was rammed so at the end of the day they’ve only got so many pairs of hands. I can’t wait to go back and will have to try and make sure that babysitter can turn up regularly!

Enjoyed a very good meal here on a Saturday afternoon. Good menu selection and wine choice at reasonable prices for Lichfield. Not the most comprehensive menu of Italian foods but definitely worth a visit. Good and friendly service from staff though could imagine it very busy in the evenings and may need to book in advance.

My first meal at this lovely little restaurant. Nice friendly atmosphere and we were well looked after. Probably could do with a refresh of paint . The food was great ,sampled some of my friends spaghetti bolognaise which was delicious but preferred my own dish better. Will definitely go again soon.

The best Italian restaurant around, I travel over an hour to visit here. Food and service are always exceptional. We love how it feels just like Italy when you dine in the restaurant.

Without doubt the finest Italian restaurant in the UK. You will not find better quality food anywhere. Yes you can pay more and yes you can pay less, but the quality at Sorriso makes it the very best value for money. The food is high quality and cooked by a genius chef named Luca. The service is friendly, attentive and the staff enjoy their work so much that humour forms part of the dining experience. Front of house is managed by Roberto and Angelo who ensure you have a great time and you have a big smile on your face. Make sure you go and tell then Ian and Tracey sent you.

Couldn't fault anything. Even though they were very busy, the food arrived quickly, looked and tasted delicious. I can't wait to visit again to try other promising dishes.

Excellent service. Excellent food. As its run by authentic Italian people getting popular, had to book for a Sunday, well worth it though, roughly 20 a head
