The Dog Inn - Lichfield - Photo album

Popped in while we were moored up in the village. Great find, full of character. Good selection of ales and lagers, very friendly staff and more importantly dog friendly. Going back next week to try the food . Follow up review, went again a couple of weeks ago and we were not disappointed with the f
Great local pub, staff very friendly and made a big fuss over our dog. Good selection of drinks on offer too
Visited the Dog Inn for the first time after a walk with a group in the surrounding area. Well situated for a walk across Whittington Heath Golf Club and Whittington Barracks including the firing range. Walked about 6 mikes back to the pub where we had a table booked for 13.15. The pub wasn't too bu
Had a great day in the Dog Inn watching last game of the season. Staff friendly and helpful and very tolerant of our banter. A proper pub.
Absolutely love this pub since I lived in Lichfield 2 years ago and went recently and still same owners and great pub as always definitely my favourite!
Went to Whittington in Staffordshire, just outside lichfield, walked along the canal there ,left our car at the old dog ,when we came back ,with the weather improved we sat outside and ordered food ,the place was a little quiet when we set off ,when we came back it had become alot busier, lots of f
What a great pub, lovely polite staff, good ale,big beer garden and dog friendly, definitely go there again when in the area..
We visited with friends for New Year's Eve. The atmosphere was brilliant. There was live music and the band were great! It was the first time we had been to the pub and we will definitely be going back. Lovely people and a great evening!
Very cute interior. We had a group of 16 so they did us a special menu with two choices at a very decent price. We ordered in advance, because we were a big group, so we didn't have long to wait for our food which was very tasty. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would again if I'm in
The steak pie was absolutely fantastic and the staff were even better. Two lovely and very chatty ladies at the bar and even the chef asked us how the food was. Very homely.!!!
Arrived just as they were finished food service on New Year's Day, but the friendly staff said they could do dinner for our party of four. We all had Sunday roasts with all the trimmings, plenty of veg. Good selection of ales.
A massive thank you to you all at the Dog inn you made me and all our family and the furry ones very welcome for our Christmas get together. A lovely buffet and plenty of liquid refreshment is available and a brilliant Christmas quiz.Highly recommend. We will definitely be back in the new year.
Nice country pub, nice outdoor area with friendly staff.
Lovely friendly pub with a homely, cosy feel. You could see it was a locals pub but we were made to feel very welcome and there was a lovely atmosphere. We didn't eat but the food looked nice and was reasonably priced. We played at the weekend there for a birthday party. Load in not very direct if y
A great afternoon tea. Lovely staff. Roll on next year.
Lovely friendly pub. Had a large family meal there for a birthday celebration, food was great, service with a smile and they went out of their way to make everything perfect. Would definitely go there again
A fantastic takeaway Sunday lunch today. Choice of roasts with ALL the trimmings. Don’t be put of by thinking it won’t be the same as a meal in the pub, it was piping hot and just gorgeous. Very good portion too. We’ll be booking another next week. Thank you everyone (especially the chef) at the Dog
I was in St Giles hospice and my son's birthday was on the Sunday of that week. The Dog had reopened after a refurbishment and I needed a local venue to celebrate. We booked Sunday lunch for eight after visiting the venue in the week and was very impressed with the decadent and opulent furnishings .
