Horse & Jockey Freeford - Lichfield - Photo album

We enjoyed a lovely meal here on Wednesday evening. The food was excellent, waiting time for the meal was very acceptable and the staff were very helpful and accommodating to dietary requirements. They showed prefessionalism at all times. We had trouble getting a taxi at the end but the staff went
Passing by we thought we'd stop to eat & so pleased we did. Menu prices average but the food was homecooked & worth every penny. Staff were friendly & very helpful. Very nice atmosphere.
Visited the Horse and Jockey for a meal after many years since our last visit . The food was served piping hot and was very good,I enjoyed my burger it was delicious the portion size was good . The Staff were lovely service with a smile but not too overbearing . The only negative thing I can say is
I’ve got two autistic children and had a terrible experience at another establishment recently so this is the first time we’ve ventured out. My children do not conform to the norm but we loved it here. It was fenced in, so my children were able to run around while we enjoyed an anniversary drink.
Popped in here in the way back from the National Arboretum - it was 5om on a Thursday. Staff very welcoming - excellent menu choices. Mom & bestie had Shepherds Pie and fresh veg which was apparently fab - I had three sausages (Welsh Dragon, Cumberland & pork) which were lush. Hot and delicious - de
Stopped here for dinner after leaving Lichfield, was super lovely inside, food tasted amazing, staff were lovely, just a shame they didn't start serving from kitchen till 5 pm.
I was never in the old pub, so I can't compare the two, but I do like this place. I've not yet eaten here, but the food it offers is traditional pub grub with the odd special. It's very popular with diners, I've heard, but don't expect a Porche as this is more food for the Mondeo man. Whenever I'v
Fantastic food - large portions . Friendly and helpful staff . All freshly cooked. Had meal from special board . Would definitely go back

This used to have a menu with fresh fish, daily pies, vegetarian and vegan menus. But it has changed hands after a long spell of being closed. So pleased it's reopened! It's still a cosy pub with great beer, friendly new staff, and a more traditional menu, plus it's now adding entertainment nights.
Excellent! Lunch with friends - good variety of foods on the menu, all delicious and above average portion sizes. Thoroughly recommend.
Beautiful pub, food was fantastic hot tasty and plentiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend and definitely visit again soon, and even dogs are made welcome. Perfect pub thank you x
We visited tonight and ordered hunters chicken & chips and fish & chips. The service was fast, friendly and not rushed. The food came out in good time, was hot and plenty on the plate. The desserts are on a board with lots of choice for everyone. We were able to enjoy our food with background music
We lunched here a few weeks ago 2 of us and a teenager. The service is brilliant we were greeted by Fiona and Izzy who were really friendly . Service was quick and food lovely and really good value for money. We were brought our food by Paula who was equally as friendly so all round a nice lunchtime
Me and my girlfriend came here yesterday for food. Both our meals were delicious and had fantastic flavours homemade in the house. The staff were friendly and helpful plus you worked really hard even in the Christmas busy period. I had one of the best Christmas dinners I had in a very long time.
Not only are the staff friendly and welcoming, we ended up having more than we set out to. I started with one of my favourites which was whitebait. It was a prefect size plenty of small fried fish with a lovely salad and tartare sauce. Then for main I enjoyed a plate of liver and bacon on a bed of m
