Stopped off to use the EV charger outside on a long drive. Had a really nice lunch (I recommend the chicken burger because the garlic sauce was so good). Great service, pub was really clean and the bartender was really welcoming. Banging playlist too. Will definitely stop here again next time!

Went for a meal with my fiance's family. With a table of 17 the staff had their work cut out for them. Despite the challenging people around the table they did a fantastic job.
I thought the food was ok and was pleased to see a great selection of real ales and beers. Hopefully I can return sometime when I am not driving!
BONUS TIP: go for the Camembert starter. Great value for money. My breaded goats cheese was not as good.
The service we received today was above and beyond. My daughter was a little bit of a pain, and the land lady made us feel so welcome and even exchanged part of my daughter's meal due to unexpected sauce issues

This is a lovely pub with a great choice of beers. The menu looked delicious but we didn't have time to eat on this occasion. We will be back. Dog friendly too, thanks very much
We called in today for a bite to eat, in the past we have been disappointed with the food and service, but decided to try it again. Wow what a difference, menu was varied and offered something for everyone. The food we ordered was excellent piping hot and home made, the service couldn’t have been better. We were told later that it was under new management for the past 2 weeks. We would highly recommend this place, we will certainly be going back again and telling friends.
Really attentive staff who couldn't do enough. Food was hot and and came out together. We had starters and mains and all were lovely. We came in a group of four, one pescitarian and the Woodsman catered well for this dietary requirement even supplementing meat in the roast Dinners.
We raved about the tandoori mayo. It was so good. The chef even cane out and spoke to us which was nice.
We had a lovely time and will definitely be back.
We came not that long ago and wasn't impressed but Emma and her team have worked hard to get the pub to this standard and I will now definitely be coming back.

Husband myself and grandson 17yrs had the festive menu today. The food was delicious it was still hot when it reached the table. Service was spot on. I'm back tomorrow with my husband. So happy we booked our meals here
Lovely clean pub with plenty of space and friendly staff. Stopped here with twin babies and two beagles on our way up to Scotland and the menu had a great range including veggie and vegan options. The food was delicious. Close to the motorway and definitely better than stoping at services!

Nice food, lovely people serving, main courses a good size and sweets to please anyone. Kids meals were okay size for small kids but not quite enough for my bigger grandchildren but they were FREE With an adult meal. Excellent value for money.
