Great service! The lovely lady was working on her own (may have been somebody in the kitchen) but she was definitely understaffed, and did a wonderful job. Warm cosy pub. Service slow, waited over 50mins for our meals. Gammon steak for hubby and chicken burger for me. But I have to admit they were worth the wait. Really good, freshly prepared, large portions and piping hot. Recommend if you can be patient.
We stayed here for 2 nights in a double room at the front of the building. The room was nice with a really comfy bed and a good shower. My bangers and mash with onion gravy and garden peas was obviously freshly prepared, and very tasty, with a good portion size. We stayed for 2 nights recieved a lovely warm welcome and was shown straight to our room which was lovely, bright airy and spotlessly clean. The bed was lovely and comfortable too.
