Took my daughter here for a special treat this afternoon. it was so lovely, exactly what you think of when you think Garden Tea room. The decor inside was so quaint, beautiful bone china tea sets and lots of attention to detail. We were greeted by Siobhan who was the perfect balance of attentive and leaving us to our tea. We had the full afternoon tea, the sandwiches were lovely, the scones were delicious...we were actually too full and took our cakes home in sweet little cake boxes. Definitely recommend, even just for a cup of tea...it's just so cute inside!

Hidden gem. Lovely garden at the back and inside is beautiful with cosy vintage decor. We had a tea for two with cheese and ham sandwiches (onion chutney to die for) and a cheese scone literally just out of the oven. Amazing service, thoroughly recommend for a peaceful lunch stop.

Had a great time at The Tea Garden. Great prices, delicious scones and amazing leaf teas in lovely china cups. The owner is very friendly and really knows his stuff. The place it is gorgeous. We enjoyed having a cuppa in the cosy coffee area at the front but couldn’t resist giving a peep to the wonderful tea room. Overall, a great place which I would highly recommend. If in Lewes, you must go!

Absolutely gorgeous place! Beautiful vintage and art deco decor; lovely and cosy inside, with a fabulous little garden for warmer weather. Delicious teas and lunches, with home made scones, quiches, sandwiches; all beautifully presented on vintage tableware. We had a lovely lunch of smoked salmon sandwiches, with an everlasting pot of tea and a delicious scone. I'm looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely tea garden in Lewes. The garden was the perfect place to relax on a sunny afternoon, and the owner very friendly with a high attention to detail. The cream tea was delicious, with the scones freshly made that day.

It’s the best afternoon tea i’ve ever had, we discovered this awesome place while we visited Lewes for first time, and we had a very extraordinary experience, delicious food and very nice and friendly staff, so we came back in the next day and we are planning to visit it again soon. Everything we had was very good and I really recommend ( lady blue tea ) very delicious choice of tea

We were visiting our daughter in Brighton and came out to Lewes for a walk around with our dog, Wolfie. Really fancying a 'tea' stop rather than a coffee one, we spied a sign, The Tea Garden. We were greeted by Jonathan who kindly confirmed that we could bring Wolfie in to the pretty little rear courtyard where he settled us into a little shelter made for two. He was a charming and entertaining host and the home made cakes and tea were just the ticket. A delightful and cozy little gem of a place that is a 'must visit' when in Lewes. A proper tea shoppe! It is obvious that a huge amount of time and energy has been put into the design and fitting out of this delightful establishment and we will certainly return when visiting the UK next time.

Visited for a full afternoon tea. We sat in the delightful courtyard garden and enjoyed yummy sandwiches with lots of filling, scones cream and jam, followed by iced ginger cake and a pot of tea. The quality of the food and the presentation was spot on. We also loved the bone china which Jonathan (the owner) has lovingly chosen with care. Great attention to detail with everything. We really appreciated the personal and friendly service. Thank you so much.

Very enjoyable experience. Jonathan, the owner, was very welcoming and chatty. He made all the sandwiches on the spot and had a wide selection of tea and cakes. Very cute and convenient location, we sat in the garden. Make sure to get the clotted cream ice cream!

The most delightful place to have tea and cake or indeen freshly baked scones. Nice courtyard garden. The owner is a real diamond geezer and makes you feel right at home. I'm so pleased to have found this gem and selfishly wanted to keep it all to myself but it wouldn't be fair. Please go and experience real service.

A great little find on a hot, sunny day. It has been open less than a month and the owner knows there are a few problems to iron out. Having said that the problems were easily overlooked omce one had experienced a very warm welcome and the excellent food. My savory cream tea.....cheese scone, cheese, apple etc, was delightful accompanied by Blue Lady tea. Hubby had a cheese and ham sandwich with Sussex tea which he thought was excellent.
