Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner and dog, room was lovely and clean great value for money. Chris was very welcoming and accomadating, shame that the pub was not opened. Perfectly situated for going off and exploring different parts of the south east. Would definitely stay here again if we are back down that way.

The Hotel is a bit dated but the rooms have all we needed, in a perfect location to rest and complete the south downs way cycling.
We were also able to keep the bikes safe in the room while sleeping.
The staff is great and service is outstanding. We hope the restaurant can reopen after covid era ends.
Great place, clean and safe. I believe closed down for a while as new owners have taken over, and reopened a few months ago. Saved so much money staying here as opposed to staying in Brighton or Lewes, and a huge free car park, plus a bus stop into Brighton right outside. Disappointed there was no bar or restaurant, but we saw that on Booking.com when we booked, apparently re-opening soon. If you want to save money, and don't mind having no bar, this is a great alternative.
Stayed here last week and staying here again this week. Rooms are spotless, road noise is minimal even though it’s just off the A27! Shame about the restaurant but it’s clearly advertised as closed when you book! Person who runs it is friendly as owt, will stay again each time I’m down for work in Falmer.
Absolutely lovely place, really convenient to get to from Brighton and totally underrated. The food and service is absolutely lovely, and you get to meet the resident dog who is adorable and very calm.
All the amenities were working in perfect condition, I would definitely stay here again! Couldn't recommend more!
Home from home. Second time we’ve stayed at this B&b. Although a little dated, lovely place to stay, and considering it is on the main road of the A27, we had a fantastic undisturbed sleep, ( couldn’t here any traffic noise whatsoever) and truly fabulous stay. Staff were absolutely fantastic, very, very accommodating, friendly and more. Service fantastic. A bit of dust on the heated towel rail but apart from that super clean. Breakfast was delicious. Heating in room needs consideration as could be quite cold once the radiator turned itself off after reaching it’s full heat, even though we turned the thermostat up full, but apart from a couple of niggly things, would most definitely stay here again.
The new owners know how to provide an excellent service. Uber cancelled three times for a ride to the station and when I asked for a taxi he offered to take me! Rooms clean and great for a 3 star property. If you don't want a bland box hotel chain then look here. The service is seriously good.
Really beautiful Inn. Super clean. Staff were so accommodating. Resident dog is ace and super docile. From our room we really couldn't hear the road and the views are nice. We had a drink outside and watched the cows and horses across the field. Such great value for money and driving to Brighton was super straightforward from here. 11/10 would stay again.
Stayed here on business over the weekend. What a homely and friendly place. Great staff, friendly welcome. The landlady could not do enough to make my stay any better. Highly recommend The New Market Inn to anybody staying in the area. So much so that I stayed an extra night simply because I was enjoying waking up to the stunning views and marvellous breakfasts. The evening meals are fantastic too. Good honest grub with rather generous portions. Five stars all round!!
I enjoyed my stay at Newmarket Inn, I went to the womens euros game at the stadium and was very close and perfect location to drive or there is a bus.
I left my AirPods by mistake and they was very kind to find them for me. Would recommend
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Well furnished, comfortable rooms with great quality beds and fittings. Good gluten free options (suitable for a coeliac like myself) in the restaurant menu, combined with an extensive wine menu, makes for a very satisfactory evening meal. Overall a great stay, very good value for money, and I'll definitely be back soon.
The lady who is the owner will do everything to make you feel like in your own home. Eating like at mother's and well-kept and tidy rooms. A very cozy atmosphere. My daughter and I have a nice stay in this hotel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Given it wasn't the best first impressions, I turn up and I had two different rooms for each night, the place is slightly dated, but these guys just taken it over the day I arrived... but the staff are 11/10 flawless infact...
Instantly the next day the card machine is working they have gas to cook and a brand new menu... that is dedication...
The rooms are a bit to be desired and the electrics need attention... but if they put the effort in which they've done in a day this place could be amazing...
I have faith they can turn this place around and will look forward to staying again to see their improvements 😁
The food is amazing and truly a bargain for what you get! Home made and quality ingredients, I had their homemade burger and chips and it's the best I've had in a very long time.
All I can say is keep up the good work guys you can turn this place into a little gem because its already on it's way there now!
Highly recommend
Stayed here in January and again the end of July and what a difference. The new owners took over recently and will make a lot of changes for the better. Amanda, the landlady is very friendly and helpful and will go out of her way to make your stay a memorable one. If you have a problem with anything just let her know and she will sort it. The full English breakfast will set you up for the day and Sunday dinner was healthy and hearty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Although very convenient to Brighton or Lewes you do need a car but there is a bus service to both places.
