We have just spent a lovely 5 days in The Shelleys Hotel. The building itself is beautiful - a grade II listed country house yet just a stone's throw from the town centre, peaceful but very convenient for local restaurants and shops.

Stayed at The Shelleys Hotel for a couple of nights as I was seeing friends in Lewes.
When I arrived the Manager took my case and took me up to my room to show me the amenities etc which I thought was a nice touch. All the staff that I met were friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed too much trou
Quaint and comfortable, with an old fashioned air about it that allows a bit of grandeur from times past, this hotel is a gem that needs to be discovered.
Great dinner and breakfast options.
A few minutes walk from Lewes Castle and other beautiful must see attractions of the area.

We had a very nice afternoon tea in the hotel's garden, and an excellent English breakfast in the morning. We'll definitely be coming

Traditional English hotel with comfortable spacious bedrooms and beds. The hotel is surrounded by a lovely garden, the staff was very helpful with helping out. Lewis is a nice village to stay. We loved our stay at the shelleys, would go back.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Shelleys. If you love historical buildings decorated in a period style you'll love this. Staff were friendly and efficient, room comfortable and breakfast superb.
Very warm and welcoming hotel. Lovely clean and comfy bed bathroom modern and well equipped with nice complimentary wash items. Very friendly staff and safe parking. Recommended!
Didn't stay the night but we use on a regular basis for meetings and lunch. They are very accomodating and loads of space to chat, decent WiFi and parking. When the weather is with you the back garden is a nice sun spot. Staff enthusiastic and keen to help out where they can
