The place you need to eat if you're in Lewes. John Harvey Tavern is a proper British pub with good beer, good food and pleasing ambience. Friendly staff. The food is very reasonably priced and good value for money.

Late decision to find somewhere to eat and phoned up saying we had a party of 5 and a dog for lunch. Said she will sort something out within 10 minutes and found she had sorted a table and reserved it in the bar area. Great service, great food, dog friendly, excellent pint of best

Good selection of Harvey’s Brewery beers as you would expect. Staff were great. It’s a little bit tucked out of the way so need to look out for it if you’re a first timer like me.
