Limetree Kitchen - Lewes - Photo album

Very nicely presented: both the restaurant and the food. Service is friendly and attentive. The food itself is mostly well prepared. But sometimes we felt the presentation overtook the balance of ingredients. The yoghurt with the lamb is just a handsome stripe on the plate rather than something
Loved the smart/casual feel of the place. Small plates menu was really very enjoyable, and very well priced. Every dish was exquisite and information on allergies was readily available from the friendly and knowledgeable waiter. Seabass, salmon, venison and stuffed mushrooms with a side order of tru
Such an amazing restaurant. The waiting staff are brilliant, the chefs equally so. Every dish is well thought out and fantastically delicious, plus the menu is changing constantly so you can come as often as you like and not get bored. The feel is very modern european cuisine. I come here every othe
We were a group of 8 adults and we ordered one of everything off the tasting menu (12 dishes plus 4 sides of their tasty skinny chips 👍). The dishes arrive one by one and you simply have a taste and the next one is miraculously with you. The flavours were fantastic with a great mix of vegetarian, me
Absolutely phenomenal food and people that are behind it. All the staff were wonderful and I can't wait to go back for another taste of the outstanding menu. Easily some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten and the tapas sharing style makes it all the better to try something new that's been cr
This is a really good restaurant. I've had some incredible meals here. During my last visit which prompted this review, I shared 4 dishes with my sister (most dishes are larger than a starter, smaller than a main) and each was cooked to perfection - well balanced flavors in each dish, inspired by di
I love the place ... Great food cooked, prepared and served by Alex and his team .... Lunch menu is great value at £10 and works well with children as well. Superlatives best suited when dining here The tapas style menu means lots of little plates and you can go from Thai, French, Spanish styled fl
Very fancy! I loved the wine, the bruschetta was really good and the "Pecan salad" did surprise me as I normally don't like the flavour of beetroot and blue cheese, but this combination tasted simply delicious! The inside is beautiful and comfortable and the staff are very nice. If your budget is li
Lovely restaurant in the middle of the English countryside. Very tasty and well presented dishes, something different from the typical restaurant chains. If the weather is good ask for a table in the garden, a little jewel. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant to talk to.
4 friends shared a number of plates and really enjoyed the tapas type sharing. The food was very tasty and intriguing. A great night out. The room was full and yet we could chat easily The friendly and helpful staff made us very welcome Thank you Hazel
I've eaten here a few times and still can't make up my mind if it's exquisitely tasteful or gratuitously mannered and poncy. The food is good although the portions are not large and the setting is relaxing and (particularly in the warmer months) very peaceful. When I finally make up my mind I suppos
Great place to pop in and enjoy a really good plate of food, inspired flavours from a talented chef. Plenty of help from the waiters if you need recommendations from the menu or wine list which shows they all work well as a team to offer a great experience.
What. A. Meal. My partner and I dropped in on a Sunday and had six dishes at this restaurant. They were all sumptuous. My personal highlight was the celeriac, perfectly cooked and a little smokey in a delightful jus, while hers was the vegan udon noodles in a deep, tasty broth. I could go on; this
Winter Sunday lunchtime so it was good to see them open. Lunch menu doesn't apply Sundays so the menu was a bit restricted. We chose two a la carte starters which were tasty but distinctly minimalist. Nice wine list and the chef raced out into the street after we left to give us a fudge square - nic
Truly amazing restaurant, food and staff. As a chef myself having eaten in some of the best restaurants around the world, I would have to put the lime tree as my top 10 favourite restaurants I’ve been too. Thank you to all the staff who made it such a lovely evening for my auntie and I. I look forwar
Fantastic food with equally fantastic tastes. An experience not to be missed. A lovely little restaurant with attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere.
I believe this establishment, is the best place in Lewes for food and or drinks! A stylish well designed interior, relax fast service which adds so much character. The food will bring a year to the eye and the chefs know exactly what they're doing when it come to the romance of flavour and aroma. Sm
Good food. Menu now offers tapas-like courses. Each dish is priced around £6 to £8 each so you may buy 2-3 to make up a meal and it is ok to share. Mid-European menu choices with fish, meat and vegetarian options.
