Hands down the best chippy in the area. Been a fan of Imries since 2018 and I wonβt settle for anywhere else. It can be busy at peak times but the food is well worth the wait. The battered fish & chips are incredible as is the Stornaway black and white pudding fritters. Great job guys!
Fish and chips today, around 12-30. My wife was first in i think, what a class fish supper and a single fish we had. We sat at the sea front with them. Fresh and piping hot. We will be back. 5*****

Donβt come across such good fish and chips very often - fish fresh and well seasoned, batter light and crisp, chips also really well done and crispy. Basically hitting all the right notes!
Went at lunch time around 1.30pm, no other customers but had a short 10-15 min wait as they fried it in the spot. Would take the wait anyday over soggy fish/chips that has been sitting on the counter for hours. This fish bar truly sets the standard for perfect fish and chips!
We were hungry, we were about to embark on a long journey, and we were looking for value for money.
We are no longer hungry, we are on our way feeling energised, we are delighted with the quality food at great prices.
We are planning another visit next time we are up there.
Absolutely amazing food with great service! Although usually always a big queue so not ideal if you are in a hurry but definitely worth the wait!
loved the fish and chips was super bizzy when we turned up, but lovely staff came out to take your order so it was ready in mo time
1st time we've popped in here. Only grabbed chips for a snack . We're really nice . And the girl that served us there , was really polite & friendly . All orders for everyone, taken really quickly. Great service .

Always great food, freshly cooked to order, always worth the wait.
Excellent fish and chips freshly prepared to order. We went just after lunchtime so were prepared for the dreaded soggy chips but shouldnβt have worried as the chips were perfect. 10 minute wait for the fish to fry always preferred to the fish sat waiting under the hot lamps.
Love this place. I live in West Lothian and no matter what the Mrs or the kids want for their dinner, when we visit the area. I go here πππ.
Everything cooked fresh as and when you order it so give them time it's worth it. Can't recommend the Stornoway black pudding fritters enough. Num Num.

Lovely fish supper, cooked fresh while we waited (10 / 15mins), which could be a pain if you are in a hurry but worth the wait.
Food is so amazing, the few times we have been there the service and food have been top notch. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality.
I'm not the one for leaving reviews on Google, but I must say I was very impressed with Imries! First time experiencing it and wow, delicious fish! Probably the only fish I have ever tasted in Fife that is actually crispy with light batter. Most of the other chip shops I've been to had fish that was either soggy or chewy. This one was not the case!
Chips were really nice too. I've given it a four stars instead of five because I felt the fish was rather small for a single fish supper. Other than that it tasted absolutely fine.
Would definitely recommend Imries chip shop!
Don't expect quail's eggs and French wine, obviously. You queue up for great chips. And/or battered fish. They have haggis.
