my husband, dog and I had a lovely stay here last night. We found the pub on the internet so didn't know much about the place before we arrived. Everywhere is clean, nicely presented and very comfortable and welcoming. The room was a little small but enough space for a short stay and a special place for the dog to sleep. The food and drinks were really lovely and used good quality, fresh local produce where possible. The best point to note was how dog friendly they are but more than that, how generally friendly everyone was, not just the staff but the locals too! A very enjoyable stay altogether

Another beautiful meal at the greyhound, this being our 3rd visit for Sunday lunch. I have recently gone fully vegan but this was no trouble at all. I booked a few days in advance and was assured that there would be a suitable choice for my dietary requirements. I was not left dissapointed, a lovely mix of roasted veggies with a quinoa, rice and seed base, topped with veg gravy and roasted nuts. Absolutely delicious!!! Rhubarb sorbet with rhubarb compote and apple pieces for dessert. I am a very happy, stuffed, vegan

Had a fantastic overnight stay at The Greyhound Inn. Couldn't fault it from the lovely welcome to the comfortable room, the vouchers for a complimentary drink, the wonderful food, (the steak was to die for and when I asked for horseradish they provided freshly made!) to a comfy nights sleep and then a great choice for breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble the whole time we were there. Will definitely be back next Easter.

We have just enjoyed an overnight stay with our 3 children at The Greyhound Inn - what a treat! Our family suite was fab. The boys had their own room and tv, big thumbs up from them! I adored the toiletries, homemade shortbread and softest towels. Breakfast was delicious, served by very friendly and attentive staff. Would absolutely recommend it.

Delightful spontaneous lunch in this treasure of a find. We were served reasonably priced 2 course meal that was not only delicious but innovative and attractive to look at. Friendly service in a country setting. We will return & recommend.

We visit often from Wantage and this is our favourite place to eat. The food is paired incredibly well with variety of flavours and textures making eating a wonderful experience. Also a lovely area for dog walking. Staff are outstanding and always make us feel welcome.

What a wonderful birthday meal. Welcoming of my family including my 5 year old. The food was amazing and I’m just trying to find any excuse to come back again really soon. Thank you so much.

My family and I had an excellent meal last night at The Greyhound for a birthday celebration. The service was great and the food was delicious. We all had starters and mains and everyone said how good each of them was. I highly recommend this pub, thank you for a really memorable evening.

We had a lovely Sunday dinner here. The vegetables were fantastic and the best cauliflower cheese I have had for a long time. Need to take a cushion. Seats are too hard for us. The tables and chairs outside look comfy but I guess you need to book early as they were all reserved.

Lovely quick stop here. We had a cheese board which offer real cheese not just cheddar, brie and blue… staff were lovely and the wine is good!

Food at the Greyhound is some of the best around! The puddings are honestly to die for! I can’t speak for the rooms as have not stayed. Knocked off 1 star for service as the clearing of the table has taken quite a while, but other than that the staff are really friendly and helpful. Location is nice, very unassuming and close to some lovely walks in the countryside but ultimately quite isolated.

We stayed at The Greyhound Inn the middle of a two day Ridgeway walk. Excellent food, with one of the most varied range of breakfast options I've come across and a very good evening menu as well. Great atmosphere and great service too. Would very happily recommend.
