Went there yesterday for a birthday meal. Very clean and comfortable with friendly, polite and attentive staff. The food was really delicious with generous servings and nicely presented. It was a bit pricey for us but we took advantage of the 50% off vouchers! Definitely recommend.
Came in today for a meal , really enjoyed the food, staff were really nice , I will definitely be coming back and telling my friends and family thank you for a good meal
Decided to go out for dinner tonight and our children chose wildwood. My husband and I decided on the 2 courses and a glass of wine for £10 which was a fantastic deal for a Friday night. The garlic bread starters (one plain, one tomato with pesto) were huge and the 4 of us munched our way through them happily, complemented by the olives. Mains were delicious - I did ask for my pizza to have extra chillies on as I like it spicy but it was only mild but tasty nonetheless. Our waitress (I didn't catch her name) was attentive throughout but not too in our face. When we'd finished our mains she made J & E apple candy floss (after asking our permission!) which was delicious! They both chose jelly and marshmallows for pudding whilst hubby and I decided on a passion fruit Bellini! All in all, a lovely family meal out, delicious food and drink and very reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area.
Would like to thank the fabulous staff for our amazing New Year's Eve meal - it really made our evening memorable.
Wonderful food as always and the service was fantastic. We always enjoy our meals there having never had one that wasn't 100% and we will be returning as often as we can.
Thanks for the introduction to Lemoncello although not sure it mixes too well with red wine. LOL
Good food great staff a lovely place too relax and either have some lunch by yourself or with a mate or a meal with the family. :)
Four of us are here last night before going to see Waiting for God at the theatre. Can't fault either the service or the food. One of us had mussels ad a starter. Unfortunately about 4 or 5 of them had not opened but we did not need to make a fuss about it because as soon as the waitress saw them left in the dish she apologised and deducted the dish from our bill. Apart from this the food was very well presented and we all enjoyed it. They even turned the music volume down for us. Couldn't fault the service and would definitely eat there again. It made a very pleasant start to a totally enjoyable evening
Great Xmas menu and food was fab! Portion size was very generous and excellent value for money
We had a lovely evening with family celebrating an early Christmas, thank you Wildwood
Had a really enjoyable evening meal. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was tasty. Good atmosphere and décor.
Good quality food. It was quiet when we went and service was good.
Great deals available including 50% off Monday & Tuesday when I went. A garlic bread starter, 2 calzones, a side of fries and a drink came to £21.
Very good bread/dough and fries (the mark of a good quality establishment).
The Carne calzone was a bit too meaty for me (entirely my fault, good quality nonetheless).
Cocktails were a bit pricey (and limited in selection on the menu) however I will absolutely be coming here again.
The tall waitress with glasses and dark hair very in unpleasant but the food was amazing food and desserts even better if you go must try the sundae!
Incredible customer service
We had a pizza come to the table later than the rest of the meals, without having to say anything to the manager, they took the meal price off. Despite the mishap with the meal they rectified it quickly and didn’t need us to have to complain to have it sorted. It’s so refreshing to have things sorted quickly. Highly recommend.
Really great service & food. Would highly recommend this restaurant. We hadn't booked and there were 5 of us. We were seated straight away, the food was served quickly and was hot and delicious. Best of all, we got 30% off the bill with a voucher so the price was fantastic. Will definitely go back
My parents and I have been coming here weekly since they extended the eat out to help out scheme.
This has provided a much needed sense of normalcy that they very much deserve after a hectic few months.
The staff are what really make the restaurant. They are consistently friendly and helpful, even while working during what is definitely a stressful time for everybody.
My family and I have been especially cautious during the pandemic to limit exposure and throughout the warmer weeks, we were able to sit outside, while deciding whether or not it was sensible to eat inside. Well, while we will only venture inside when there are very few (if any) people inside, on the occasions (that are becoming more frequent) that we do, we have all felt safe due to the distancing and not at all anxious or concerned. This is the only restaurant I have eaten inside of during the pandemic.
The food is nice and there is a good vegan selection. There is also a really good set menu that importantly includes cheap wine, that I definitely recommend!
Due to covid, they are offering takeaway options, so they have not fully shut down for lockdown. Definitely a restaurant that deserves some support!
I have walked past this place a few times before but decided to give it a try. This is a large and clean restaurant with a slightly rustic feel and vibe. Service was good and overall the food was quite good too. I will be back to try something different next time. I didn't think the chicken cesarean quite hit the spot. The chicken was excellent but in my opinion the caesar sauce was not quite right. Starter and main were very good. Expect to pay about 25 per head with drinks
We've been meaning to go here for ages and finally made it on a miserable Friday night. The welcome however was bright and cheerful (and this was indeed the case from every member of staff during our visit). It wasn't particularly busy when we arrived, so speed of service wasn't an issue. A look at the menu didn't particularly excite me (turkey in February? Seriously?) although that made the decision of what to choose to eat easy! When the 2 adult pizzas arrived (didnt have to wait too long) they were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The side salad was also fresh and tasty, although the dressing was more akin to a French dressing, rather than Italian. The children's meals however could do with improvement; the penne bolognese was overpowered by the taste of celery and the mini burgers were cooked well, but the buns were on the tough side. Portion size was good however. A good selection of drinks were available, including mocktails, which the children love to get involved with and a decent wines selection, so dad was happy! Deserts followed and all of them were top notch. A decent cup of tea and a nice coffee finished off the meal nicely. Service was excellent all round and the bill didn't offer any unnecessary scares or surprises, so all good there too.
We will definitely go again, but perhaps just be a little more selective on child's menu choices.
We have been to Wildwood several times. The food is very good and the choices nicely varied but not overwhelming. The atmosphere is friendly and we have never been pressured to order or leave after eating. The staff are excellent and always on hand when needed. We have been as a family and as a couple and it works nicely for both.
On one occasion the Director of Wildwoods operations was visiting the Letchworth site and working in the restaurant. She sat with us while we had a really good conversation about how the service was being provided and how things could be improved. That shows the sort of commitment from senior staff to getting it right for customers, which isn't seen often enough. A thoroughly excellent eating out experience.
This is a great restaurant, there's plenty of choice on the menu whatever your preference, starter, main or sweet. There's also a good selection of drinks. Plenty of seating inside and some outside seating. With wheelchair access. The staff are very friendly and never leaving you unattended. Well worth a visit.
Lovely food, only complaint is didn't get a nice glass of cold white wine,it was warm and when saying this to server, their answer was to just bring me a glass of ice. Would've preferred a fresh glass poured over ice, other than that you must try the haloumi fries! So morish
Took our 7 year old granddaughter there for lunch, staff could not have been kinder to her. Extremely helpful, polite, kind and patient. Food was fantastic, all freshly prepared and cooked. Highly recommend
