This is my go to place for coffee, I always feel better for going here, leaving with a big smile on my face.,Their butterscotch latte is to die for, and the food is lovely. Highly recommend visiting, not just for the coffee, but the friendly, pleasant atmosphere with great staff who take pride in serving really good coffee and delicious food. If you have a sweet tooth it's definitely the placed for you! A really cozy and friendly place to visit for people of all ages, if you haven't already you should really check it out.
Quirky and homely coffee shop�. The coffee and food is delicious and there's plenty of choice. Once you walk in, you feel instantly relaxed. This is helped by the friendly staff.�
I visit Esquires at least 3 or 4 times a week on my way to work up the other end of Letchworth. The location in the town centre means its easy to pop in when I get off the train and I can refuel before my journey onwards to work. The staff are always so chatty and friendly, this morning I was asked how my weekend was - it's amazing how the little things keep you going back. As a regular, they have also got my order spot on now as well, really impressed by the care and attention they give each customer. They give discount to local workers, and have a loyalty scheme which means once every couple of weeks I can get a free drink. Well done guys, keep up the fantastic work!!
Proper coffee shop atmosphere, relaxed friendly staff, lovely decor, and good choice of food.
We were served by a young guy with dark hair (might have had a beard too?) who gave amazing customer service, and a young girl with brown hair sorted us out a loyalty card. was so friendly and the atmosphere was lovely in the shop, the coffee was great too, keep it up guys!
I love that they take real care over your order. I ordered oat mocha and they make it to just the right temperature so not to burn the milk. If the temperature isn’t to your liking you can ask for it hotter. Their cocoa tea was delish also ....
It’s more than great coffee ..... it’s friendly service and a lovely atmosphere created by fab staff.

What a beautiful cafe in the city center. An institution that takes the subject of coffee seriously, and it is felt in the taste. The place is on the corner of 2 streets, so there are tables and chairs on both sides of the cafe. Inside the place is spacious and pleasant. Decorated in a way that is pleasant to look at. Lamps of all kinds, coming down from the ceiling, some with an industrial look, and some that seem to be handmade. The place is warm and inviting. Large cold juice display. The cake display is exceptional, I especially admired the selection of vegan cakes. There were many morning pastries on display, and fancier cakes, such as carrot and cream cake.
Despite the relatively early morning, the place was full of customers. An amount I didn't see in the other cafes in the area, which I glimpsed through the window.
The place is self-service, the ladies at the counter were quick and efficient.
I ordered a cappuccino, which was delicious and excellent. I really enjoyed the maple and pecan pastry. It was fresh crispy and just the right amount of sweet.
Music plays in the background with quiet and popular songs.
You can sit here for hours and enjoy the atmosphere.
Nice tasting carrot cake and tiffin. The carrot cake is on the smaller size for the price. Coffees were quite good.
Definitely one of the best coffee shops in the area. It’s warm, comfy and the staff make it great. They make you be yourself and comfortable and above all friendly. The team make the place.
I’m from the hospitality industry and never review places, but had to give credit to this place. Thank you for making this place home to home
Very nice coffee, good options and prices. My only suggestion would be to clean the birds “things” under the chairs on the outside area of the cafe. Otherwise is maybe the best spot for coffee in town
A really nice place to have coffee. A superb selection of cakes and a great selection of drinks. A little pricey but you are paying for a premium experience. The staff are incredibly friendly too.
Great coffee, kids love the hot chocolate. Good selection of tray bakes and cakes. Hot and cold sandwiches are really good too.
Today most of the tables had not been cleared of mugs & plates from lunch which seemed a bit strange for 3pm on a Saturday.
Friendly service, large selection of food, great coffee and cakes and friendly, polite staff. The only negative is that it's popular that finding a table can sometimes be a little tricky, but there is always at least one available when we arrive - thankfully!
Prices have gone up since we last visited but that's the same everywhere.
Lovely hot chicken and latte and a toasted sausage bap, perhaps a bit too crunchy but the sausage was nice.

Lovely place in the town centre with excellent coffee and all sorts of cakes and pastries, all of them delicious. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere makes it really cosy. Also, it's one of the few places on Letchworth where you can have a coffee after 5pm😁
Can get very busy especially at the weekends. Customers seem to sit inside for hours on end with their laptops. Which makes it hard to find a seat. Hopefully when the weather gets better you can sit outside. But that can be hit or miss. Staff are very friendly. Worth a visit.
Just had a Brie and sweet Chilli panini here and it was loaded with cheese. Far better than any other coffee chain locally for the quality of this type of product. Very friendly service too - recommended if in Letchworth - and its very dog friendly too
