David's Bookshop Cafe - Letchworth Garden City - Photo album

A cafe that is also a bookstore. What two great things that suit me very well. What's better than drinking a cup of delicious coffee and buying a book? Sandwiches, cakes, scones and more are also served here. One of the most authentic places in town.
This is attached to an established local independent book and music shop making the atmosphere very relaxed. Unlike most cafes, the staff bring everything to your table so there's no tray juggling with your shopping. The food is great, fresh, tasty, and a varied choice. Locally produced soft drinks
I'd give six stars for the atmosphere if I could. Such a cool place. Food is great and you can hire a boardgame while you eat. The shop has a great selection of cards, books, boardgames, wrapping paper etc. Always busy especially on weekends.
This is such a friendly café that I try to use it so that they stay open and encourage others to do the same. In this economic climate, it is so difficult for shop owners They cater for gluten-free with their cakes, which seem to be homemade and are delicious. My guilty pleasure 😀 Their cappuccino ☕
A very pleasant first visit. Will return next time we visit Letchworth. Service was slow but we sat down while we waited at the table and when our drinks came they were worthy of 4*
A cool independent coffee shop. The vegan sausage roll was really good, and came with a small salad, which was nice. Coffee is good and they have a decent cake selection. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't busy, but there are plenty of tables anyway. High chairs are available if needed too.
Great cafe and the best coffee in the town. You can buy tasty cakes that you can’t find anywhere else in the town. They also selling beautiful, very original cards. The cafe is always busy.
Love.this place everything is always just right, nothing is too much bother. Staff are lovely food is good. Nice and relaxing.
Coffee shop was quite busy on a Sunday. I had a jacket potato with cheese and chutney. Although it was busy I didn’t have to wait long, the potato was quite large and came with loads of fresh salad and coleslaw. It was delicious and the staff were friendly. Reasonably priced at a little over £10 inc
A cafe that even when it's rampacked still feels like it's an oasis of calm. The staff are prompt, kind and courteous always serving with a smile and the time from serving 5o receiving is practically not even long enough to gaze at the many film posters on the wall. First class service and first cla
Friendly staff, comfortable & fab vegan toasted sarnies.
Excellent if you like vegetarian or vegan food. Good choice if you go for an early lunch.
We love David’s cafe (and book shops and Music) but even more so. The coffee is great the sandwiches and salads too and even when this gets go a little awry they come and apologise and tell you what has happened before you asked. Brilliant and thank you again.
One of the cornerstones of Letchworth life. I get all my card's from here - a really good and interesting mix of styles, above snd beyond your usual newsagent stuff. Coffee shop is also a destination, if you can get a table! Best coffee in town, great cakes and lovely staff
Love this place love the vibe the coffee and cakes yum! yum! and now have great chairs outside bonus as I love sitting outside and staff always helpful well worth a visit🙂
This is my favourite shop in the country. Bookshop better stocked than waterstones, plus a cafe, and a games shop/ music shop with decent vinyl selection, dvds and blu rays including lots of cult and foreign films, and they have a huge selection of second hand books outside and upstairs. Easy to spe
A lovely little café serving a small selection of toasties, salads and beverages. Located by a bookshop! What more to ask for?
