Every Wednesday @peerieshopcafe make reestit mutton soup, a dish unique to the Shetland Islands.
Each butcher has its own secret recipe for making reestit mutton, but before the middle of the 1970s, this process was something done at home.

Please be prepared to be in the queue to order at counter before you are assigned to the table(strange rule, could sit in table then go and order, but different place different rules maybe) bi
I always get the hot chocolate here, and the staff is lovely.
This is also one of the only cafes that opens early (8 a.m. as of this writing) in Lerwick, which is really convenient if you've just got off the ferry or if you're in town early.

Loved this cafe which we visited several times during a month in Shetland. They made us and our dogs (Boris and Toby) very welcome. Particularly Boris and Toby! We got very fond of their delicious homemade cakes.
This place is very cute the scone was amazing and the coffees good. The first server we has was rude and he didn't seem like he wanted to be there but then the lady who came in after was very nice and friendly.
