Great chippy, food is tasty and prices are good. Super busy when we were there, the team were working hard.
I'm only a lowly American in Shetland on a visit, but HOLY MOLY this is the GREATEST FISH & CHIPS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Cannot recommend more highly. The fish is so substantial and tastes amazing, and the chips are perfect. So glad I came.

Great fish & chips - perhaps not on a par with award winning chippies like the Anstruther fish bar (in its hayday), but a more than acceptable experience nonetheless, especially on a cold, wet windy April day. Note that the Fort is just a takeaway now, with no sit in café.
One of the best chippers in Shetland from my experiences. Fish is crispy and tastes nice with the chips being seasoned well. In my opinion The Fort Cafe has the best Fish Supper on the Island. The staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a great Fish & Chip!

This is definitely one of my favourite fish and chip shops, not just in Shetland but anywhere. Lovely fresh fish, and fantastic chips.
They do not accept card payments at the moment, it's cash only. So just remember to have cash available.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
