We frequently visit this restaurant as a family, living in hereford ourselves there are many Indian restaurants to choose from, but growing up eating Indian food, and knowing what quality is after all this time, unfortunately all the restaurants in hereford fail to deliver time after time. However, the 20 minute drive into Leominster to visit the Jalalabad is worth the drive Every, Single, Time. We visited tonight, and the restaurant was absolutely HEAVING. I must admit, working as a chef for the past 9 years, perhaps, they had put a bit too much on themselves in terms of numbers. But they handled it magnificently. And with approximately 50-60 covers in a very short space of time the quality of the food did not alter whatsoever. A very enjoyable night. And it’s so rare to find a place to eat, to have a night off cooking and have a similar quality to that at home.
Interestingly there is a review left for the jalalabad a little over a month ago, it reads …
Food is okay (LIE) we have been going here for a while. But suddenly price has gone through the roof (NO IT HASN’T) they don't like card payments anymore (YES THEY DO) and the bill receipt is hand written on paper with not understanding of what is written on it (YES, ITS HAND WRITTEN AND PERFECTLY LEGIBLE) Very strange
Unfortunately we will not be coming back (GOOD)!!!.

Had the pleasure of getting my second takeaway from this lovely restaurant last week. Have to say it was one of the best Indian/Bangladeshi meals I have ever had in the UK.
Service was great, can't wait to come and enjoy a sit down meal here with my family soon!
We did a massive takeaway order for 20 people. Was prepared perfectly, everyone got what they wanted, and were wiping plates clean with extra nan. Great!

Absolutely brilliant take away tonight from Jalalabad. We were recommended by friends and the food really was amazing! Fantastic service from the delivery driver who really went above and beyond, thank you! Food was so fresh, delicious and freshly cooked. Just brilliant. We will be returning.

I have to say, past experiences of this Indian have always been 5 star. I ordered 1 X meal this evening. The food was OK, but not up to its normal standards. My naab bread seemed soft and not quite cooked.
The curry was good as usual, but not exceptional. I've had it before and it has been extremely good, this time not so much.
I'm not trying to moan. Usually this Indian, is outstanding. I would recommend this to anyone, providing they kept their usual high standards up.

Lovely meal, layers of beautiful flavours. I especially loved the intensity of the colours with the flavours, not sure if the colours were accentuated by the lighting, but all together it was an exceptionally good eating experience. The service was exemplary.

What can I say, ... from the moment I phoned to book a table until we walked out the door we could not have had better service. The 2 waiters taking orders and serving were so friendly and welcoming 🙏. The food was amazing and the apple chutney that is served as part of the pickle and chutney sides was delicious. We eat at Indian restaurants regularly and this one is by far the best. The tandoori salmon was exquisite and the garlic chicken was so tender with fragrant, fresh coriander to compliment and enhance the flavour. We will definitely return when we are back visiting family. 😀 thanks for a wonderful culinary experience ❤
