Great friendly family atmosphere. Friendly staff that are very attentive to you. Food was delicious, lots of it and great menu too. You get alot of food for the price, lots of good beers and ciders, definitely one of the best pub meals we have had to date. Will be returning in the future. Keep up the great work.
Absolutely brilliant all round!
We visited on a Saturday night (without booking) and were seated immediately by a friendly male member of staff (who we think was called Dan).
We had smoked mackerel to start followed by a burger and steak for mains. I asked for my steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly! Everything arrived at our table fresh and hot, and service was prompt between the courses.
The staff we encountered were some of the best we've ever experienced in a restaurant; polite, professional and really friendly. All of them seemed very much 'on the ball' and didn't stop - everything seemed to run like clockwork!
On top of all this, The Badger is a clean, well-managed and nicely-laid-out inn with plenty of room and a pleasant ambience. We felt happy, comfortable and at ease while we sat waiting for our food and drinks.
Overall, a fantastic little place and one we will be visiting again this weekend.
Thank you to all the staff for giving us such a warm welcome and a wonderful evening! You are a credit to your establishment, and to the village of Lelant!
A lovely place with a nice garden, friendly staff and extensive menu. Despite being large and many food orders going in, there was no wait as there was plenty of staff (or a few very efficient one).
As the Inn is so close to Lelant Saltings which is dog friendly, it's was great to see The Badger Inn was too. 😁
Just left after an impromptu tea here and can not rate it high enough. The garlic and chilli king prawns were perfectly balanced, fresh and delicious. The rustic garlic bread was a welcome change from the usual frozen offerings elsewhere and the three cheese ploughman's was substantial and amazingly tasty. Would go back in a heart beat. Staff very attentive and friendly. Really lovely place.
What a fantastic place to eat drink and sleep. Internet is seriously fast As Well (most odd in Cornwall!)
Room I stopped in was immaculate, well presented and most of all comfortable, even slept through my alarm but that may have been due to the 3 pints of Rattler and a brandy! Just kidding.
Food was excellent, steak cooked as I asked for it and I was served super quick too!
Really good beer garden to the rear with a tree that has a face (creepy but cool too).
Prices are more than reasonable, would totally recommend a visit here if your in this neck of the woods.
It's a 10 from Len from me
Staff were so friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Even Elvis the Great Dane, the owners dog, was there to greet you. Location was brilliant clean and comfortable. Food amazing. Such a pretty place. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Absolutely brilliant place to eat, here on holiday we're group of 7 who arrived without booking but was made welcome, initially told unable to fit you in but was found a table. Atmosphere, food and service was great and the staff even ordered a taxi for us as we'd missed the last but back to Holiday Park. Definitely would eat here again
Delicious food, relaxed friendly atmosphere. Would definately recommend the place. A lovely evening x
Been here on 4 or 5 occasions... every time I have been made very welcome by the staff and the food is amazing ... tried different things off the menu ... it's all good .. 😀
We experienced a pub/ restaurant with a warm and friendly ambience, along with great food that was served in large portions by friendly and efficient staff. Our 2 German Shepherd dogs were made very welcome. We’ll back later this week.
My 1st visit..my gran was always in here before she passed away, unfortunately I never got to go with her, but i must say she was right..food was amazing, i had the taglitellie it was lush! Will definatly be back. Also very polite helpful lady serving us x
Brilliant pub, I would highly recommend going here either if your staying in the area or if your passing through. Can't wait to visit again XD
Stayed for one night. Room and pub were excellent. Breakfast was absolutely spot on and the lady serving us was very polite and attentive. Really liked the hassle free atmosphere and will consider staying there again in the future.
Stayed here for 2 nights, lovely staff nothing was to much trouble. Lovely breakfast. Good choice of food in evening, had a brilliant stay. Lovely clean room only negative I was in room 4 and bathroom door hard to open
We had a good pub meal here. Food was served quickly, staff were very polite & friendly. We both had pate to start, followed by scampi & a steak. 1 half of cider, a white wine & small coke, and it only cost £66. Service charge is only £1 per person dining. We would recommend and definitely return again. A real little find.
our end destination after a short evening hike from st ives. we were welcomed like regulars, and even joined in their amazing bingo night. the fish and chips was fantastic. every time i’ve been here before, i’ve had a lovely time. the ploughman’s is also fantastic. lovely wood burning fire and cute twinkly lights.
My wife and I stopped off here a couple times during our holiday to Cornwall and were very impressed with both the service and the food. We arrived on a Monday evening and were after a casual bite to eat, and after venturing a couple of other places with no success, we ending up stumbling upon the Badger inn. As soon as I walked to the bar, I was greeted with friendly smiles and handed a couple of menus by Hannah.
My wife ordered the Scampi and I chose the chilli, both of which were very tasty and exactly what we were after. I love that pubs like this still exist, which offer home cooked meals with friendly service and a cosy atmosphere. The interior of the pub is not modern, but has a timeless decor that I hope still looks the same in 10 years time. The pub is also dog friendly, so perfect as we had our two small dogs with us.
We will certainly return when in the area again. Thanks to Hannah and the rest of the staff who made of visit so enjoyable.
Well located Inn with a lovely private garden at the back. We stayed over the weekend and the pub was full with a vibrant atmosphere. The Sunday roast looked very good but sadly we already had a meal before we arrived. We had the English breakfast and that was excellent. 2 parking areas behind for about 30(?) cars. Short 5 min walk to train station (bus stop is just outside the inn) but be warned it's quite a steep walk down and a bit of a climb coming back. We definitely would recommend the Badgers Inn Lelant.
Note: The rooms are upstairs and the road to the station is steep. Not recommended for disabled/wheelchair.
Fine looking pub/restaurant in Lelant. Bit dated inside but had good value lunch and decent beer. Within easy walking distance of Porthkidney beach. Looked like small car park. Remember to register your car at bar.
Meet Friends here for a meal whilst we were visiting Cornwall and the food was lovely, good selection of beers & sports great atmosphere so would recommend 👍.. 1 other thing .Had the Scampi & never had so many pieces of Scampi on a plate from a restaurant before and the meal was cooked perfectly 😉
Great service. Brilliant staff, excellent food, very accommodating and all of the staff were so lovely, food portions are perfect! And came out hot!! Thank you!
Popped in for a quick lunch - good selection of sandwich/light lunches as well as more hearty options. Good service and reasonable prices.
We called in for dinner, the staff are helpful and friendly, the food is amazing, we had fish and chips, salad, mushy peas with tartar sauce, sticky toffee pudding with ice cream will go back 😋 you should go 😁👍
This is an excellent pub for lunch after a walk along the coast.
We had walked the fairly easy stretch along the coastal path from Carbis Bay. We like the sheltered garden and the lovely atmosphere. All staff are very friendly and the choice and quality of food is excellent. We are vegetarians, so choice can be limited, but there was plenty of choice here. Great beer too! Thank you.
On Holiday in St Ives we had last minute plans to go out for food, went in at 8:15 they serve until 9 and despite busy were able to accomadate. The food was very tasty and flavourful. Good portions. Not to exspensive. 2 meals 4 drinks and only £56. Bingo was on and a raffle to. Staff were excellent and couldnt do enough for you.
We went for an evening meal ,pub a bit shabby and tables could of been cleaner but food brilliant
Good pub with a large beer garden, had Sunday lunch here and found the food plentiful and reasonably priced.
We found the place by accident when looking for Sunday Lunch and will definitely be returning the food was great and the service was friendly and good. Would definitely recommend the Carvery.
Never been here before. Great food. Lovely little Country Pub with a spacious Beer Garden with plenty of Picnic type Benches to sit at.
So much nicer than Premier Inn! Only stayed for one night but the room had everything needed and a comfortable bed. Evening meal of fish and chips was delicious and the full English breakfast was extremely tasty. Coming back in April for a couple of nights, would thoroughly recommend 👍🏼
