Visited for the first time today after being recommended by friends and so glad I did. Fish was cooked perfectly, batter was amazing, chips excellent too. Staff were friendly and attentive and actually seemed to like working there!
A few demerits though but not enough to drop the score to a 4:
- Waffles were a bit dry and crispy. I prefer a softer, moister waffle.
- Very surprised not to see a cod+waffle dish (although they did make up one for me) Maple syrup on crispy batter was amazing!
- Also a Southern Fried Chicken on Waffle would be a great addition to the menu. The best waffle dish I've ever had was a large circular waffle wrapped around a KFC style chicken breast and drizzled with maple syrup.
- Parking is really bad, disabled bays all full and had to park outside someone's house.
Really enjoyed my visit, will be back.
I came in for a birthday lunch treat with my daughter who has a cow's milk protein allergy, Cod and Waffle have the best dairy free menu we have EVER seen! Usually my daughter has the option of a fruit salad or a jelly, however she was spoilt for choice here, dairy free waffles, ice cream, chocolate sauce, the list goes on......
All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, we can't wait to come back again!

Lovely place, really friendly with great food.
I went with a friend who is intolerant to wheat and cow's dairy and it was the first place we've ever been she could have had pudding that wasn't just fruit! Mind you we were both so full after her fish and chips (first time she has been able to eat batter in years) and my brunch waffle that we didn't actually manage to get to pud!
Will definitely be going back.
One of the best place to have come to Leighton Buzzard. Visited about 6 or 7 times now and each time the food gets better and better. Last visit there was a party of 31 and yes I had to wait a little bit longer to be served but the waitress was apologetic and the food was still served quickly, piping hot and delicious!! �

This place is amazing!!! They have a dairy free menu!!! I've never seen a dairy free menu before!!! At last, proper desserts!!! No more boring sorbet!!! I'm sooooo happy right now!!! xxx

Visited for the first time yesterday with a group of friends and our very small babies. Beautiful space; great food in terms of choice and quality; relatively easy parking; very good baby changing facilities, but best of all - the two staff we met were brilliant. Attentive, welcoming and genuinely happy in their work. We’ll be back! Keep up the great work.

Came in for a birthday breakfast with my mum & daughter. We thought the portions were going to be small. We were completely wrong. One of..if not.. THE nicest breakfast Iv ever eaten. And it was served piping hot. The girls in there were so polite, friendly and helpful. We left completely stuffed. Will be returning.
Just finished a take away gluten free cod and chips. Wow!! The best chips I have ever had! Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside - perfect. The fish was fantastic too. Welcomed with a smile and service was quick. Before Cod and Waffle opened I had to travel to Woburn Sands for fish and chips and then only on a Sunday or Monday evening. Thank you. Waffles next time! �
Visited here yesterday with family . What a busy, friendly place :) We were well looked after. My sister who follows a Gluten free diet was in her element. Such a great choice . Lovely food . Will definitely be back again .
Went with daughter, met by friendly staff. Had the Easter waffle which was delicious and my daughter had a bacon an Brie waffle with cranberry sauce and she loved it. Will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend.
Great service and great food ... nothing too much trouble and they also cater for gluten free vegetarians which is an added bonus! Will definitely go back if only for a coffee and desert!!

Really delicious waffles. Garlic mushroom waffle was my choice. Also serves the most amazing fish and chips too.

As usual, the food and value were up to normal high standards. The only thing that stopped a 5-star rating was the perfectly pleasant, but slightly lackadaisical and absentminded service.
This is still one of our favourite places for a casual lunch out.

Having returned again, have to say the service needs some work. It should be the job of the waiting staff to be alert for when customers are looking for their attention, rather than having to literally call out so that they don’t just walk away when they have finished serving another table.
This won’t stop us visiting but it’s just frustrating that this separates good from great.
Quirky place with an awesome menu. I couldn't decide between fish or waffles as I love both and we went for brunch so I ended up getting chips which were fantastic, and the Halloween special waffle which was yummy and very Instagram worthy! My friends are vegan and vegetarian and they were very happy with the options available to them. Would love to return for fish and chips and waffles!

Great Service & Atmosphere, Amazing staff, good price and we didn’t wait long, came to try out the waffles, they were great- the specialty waffle (Millionaires) I would recommend! I enjoyed my brunch :) would come back again!
Excellent food and were able to cater for customers with dairy free and gluten free requirements. Friendly staff who are eager to help. Specials vary regularly and are always good. They've even gone out of their way for people to order off menu for special occasions.

I have eaten from here a few times. Usually as a take away, but recently in the restaurant.
The food is delicious. One thing I like is the lack of grease that you normally get from a traditional fish and chips meal from your local "chippy"...
I'm not going to lie, I do still love my local chip shop, but this is a refreshing change for those that would prefer less of the grease.
The next thing is the great service, with a smile, and their attention to detail with kids allergies. My son has many allergies, and they handled the order perfectly.
Will definitely go again and highly recommended.
First time I've been here. Good selection and a simple to choose from menu. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and the portion sizes. Gluten free batter available upon request however a slight lack of wholemeal bread. Staff appeared a bit confused over the availability. Service was fast enough and staff were polite and helpful. My only gripe is others in my party had simple waffle and ice cream for pudding (large waffle and two scoops of vanilla ice cream), I opted for the chopped fruit and coulee option with ice cream however only received one scoop despite paying two quid more. This subjective niggle should not however impact on your choice of going there. Do it, do it now.
