Very welcoming bar staff who were happy to serve me. I was charged for half a pint for a full pint which I was chuffed about because the barrel had just finished and the inside felt warm. Would recommend!

One of the best roasts I’ve had, potatoes and beef were excellent. Yorkshires were a little disappointing but still tasted great. All the staff there are super warm and welcoming

Friendly and efficient service. Fish and chips were perfect.... the dark beer batter was super crispy complimented perfectly with fresh tartar sauce. Chips were great but the homemade skinny skin on fries were superb. Goats cheese tart got a big thumbs up too. Apparently they try and source locally wherever possible... highly recommend the Clavell & Hind Rook Wood Ale

Local friendly pub, walked in and immediately felt welcomed. Good selection of beers and gins. Dog friendly, and great outdoor space. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for being so welcoming! We will be returning when in the area.

My husband and I enjoyed a really delicious meal here for our anniversary. We had a lovely table tucked round in the little library. The whole team are sooo friendly and inviting from the moment we arrived. We both enjoyed a delicious scotch egg which was cook beautifully followed by Stake , which again was cooked perfectly and sooo tasty. Dessert was Eton-mess, extremely yummy and beautifully present which made it more special. Highly recommended

Very cute pub with lots of atmosphere. Low ceilings and a real fire to warm yourself after a long walk. Selection of beers is fine. Some quirky ales were on tap as well. The food was good. Mainly traditional pub food but there were also some Asian choices available, which is a nice touch. Service was friendly and efficient. I cannot comment on the outdoor seating since The weather was miserable when I visited. Would go again when in the area.

Oh my days! The food here is brilliant!!! Really lovely inside and extremely friendly staff who literally couldn't have been more helpful. We are from out of town visiting family in Tetbury but will most definitely be returning. Don't even get me started on the Sticky Toffee pudding and the home made pork puffs/scratchings .... Try them!!

A must visit whilst in the Cotswolds. My fiancé and I are staying in the area and have eaten here for dinner and a Sunday roast. The atmosphere, service and food are incredible. Thank you Royal Oak for a lovely experience we cannot wait to return! X

We had a fabulous meal here recently. On arrival we noticed how busy it was and were pleasantly surprised by the nice atmosphere. The place has a gorgeous country pub vibe, with cute features and nooks and crannies to sit. We were met with a warm welcome from both owners, who were mother and son. We even got to meet their super cute puppy 😍. As you can imagine, the place is dog friendly and we are looking forward to returning with our fur babies soon. The menu, on first glance, was a little limited. We soon realised that this is a place that would rather do good food really well, than a variation of pub grub. I had the lasagna, which was clearly homemade and was amazing. Very generous portion. My husband had a venison burger, which he said was one of the nicest burgers he'd ever had. Our other family members had fish and chips, and chicken curry, and were both very impressed. Deserts were had, and were equally enjoyable. We will definitely return.
