From a vegetarian view this place is great. The owner looked after my husband and I very well, they cooked my husband's meal just the way he liked it and that's not very often that he gets what he asked for and for myself I had 4 lovely meals to choose from. I had veg Wellington and that was very yummy. The people r very welcoming and it was nice to see the owner working and Chatting to the customer's. The cocktails were very nice too, not many to choose from but very nice. This place is not very big so u would probably be best to book. Will definitely go here again and I would recommend to meat and none meat eaters 😁
Very nice place, well presented. Great staff at the restaurant . Great food was served. Great drinks were served. Lovely Cocktails were made and it was a very enjoyable night out.
So many places now offer smoked BBQ food and get it wrong. This place however is perfection! They definitely know what they are doing with the smokers. They let the meat speak for its self, seasoned perfectly opposed to just covering it in sugar loaded sauce. Seasoned fries and cornbread where spot on. Craft beer offerings matched the smokey food really well.

Glad that Gallacher's is reopened again! Ribs are smashing as usual but reduced menu for smoked items...missing chicken and pulled pork...due to reduced customers post Covid. Hopeful menu comes online! Will go again.

What can I say, tastes that explode in your mouth, mouth wateringly amazing food, smoked to perfection. The staff were all so friendly, even though adrian would not tell us what was in his BBQ sauce. Will definitely be eating here again!

Saw an advert for this a few years ago whilst visiting family in Essex, living in South Wales we've not been able to visit until now.
It was well worth the wait!
We had a sharer for two hungry people and we struggled! We are big eaters but the meat was such good quality and there was so much of it.
Staff were amazing very attentive to all tables without being over bearing.
I had a gin fizz cocktail which was absolutely delicious.
Would recommend if you haven't been already! So much choice!
What a find this place is. We had a sitting at 1pm on a Saturday and had the place to ourselves. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was great. 2 dishes were served lukewarm which was disappointing and hence not 5 stars, but wasn't sufficient to complain as everything was flavoursome and large portions. Seasoned chips were tasty. I had the pitmaster and couldn't quite manage it all. Be warned the ribs are not baby back ribs but monster things. My daughter couldn't manage a half rack when she usually devours a full rack of baby back ribs. My husband loves ribs and when offered beef ribs in place of pork was delighted. Whilst seemingly huge quite a lot was bone and fat but still very tasty. Overall we were very satisfied with Gallagher and wish we lived closer to take advantage of takeaway options. Support this independent business, they've only been running it a year and what a terrible year. Stop going to the big chains who don't pay tax in the UK and keep places like this alive.
Had an amazing dinner that was also very educational about smoking, marinades, rubs and wood..... fabulous, will definitely be back again. Service great and very friendly😁
