Dear Parikar Team,
I wanted to take a moment to extend my sincerest gratitude for the extraordinary experiences I've enjoyed at your restaurant. As an Indian living in the UK, finding authentic flavors from home can be a challenge, but Parikar has been a delightful exception.
Your dedication to authenticity, quality, and warm service has made every visit a remarkable one. My family and I have dined with you more than six times now, and each occasion has been a celebration of true Indian culinary art.
Your restaurant has become our go-to place, a culinary haven that never fails to amaze.
Thank you once again for making us feel at home, even miles away from home🙂
I’ve been going to this restaurant since childhood when it was former curry fever and now Everest but they have made the menu even better with keeping the popular dishes from the old menu , so I went back after a few months and really enjoyed dinner we had the momos chicken fabulous also the curry’s both lamb and we had the chicken pili pili , vc10 salads the garlic coriander nan bread excellent most unique type of curry with a great taste. Also they have a good drinks selection the staff are friendly and informative , fineshed the dinner with a kesar gulfi tasty .
Absolutely fantastic would 100% go back for more! Staff are friendly and accomodating, atmosphere and music are just right.
Went in and had the Executive Banquet for two, and there was more than enough for us and a goody-bag to take home.
Standouts from the starters;
King Prawn Tandoori
Lamb Sheek Kebab
Chicken Shashlik
And the mains;
The best Naan I've had in a long time, good selection and fresh, more than two could eat.
Delicious Chicken Tikka Masala, but not spicy.
One thing I would note is that the heat rating of the various dishes is not consistent. The Tikka was more like a Butter Chicken and is rated the same as the Prawn Jalfrelzi which was significantly hotter, although both were delicious.
Accessibility; there is a step and a small entry space unsuited to wheelchairs and might present trouble to those with limited mobility.
Had great evening with a large group. The food was very good. We had mixture of sizzlers, momo, curries and Indo Chinese options. All the food was very delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Although momos were not served in baskets. Service was very good too and staff were friendly. I had the best kulfi in recent times. Will definitely visit again.
Very good food and excellent service. The staffs in the front were very attentive and helped me chose the items. All the foods were full of flavors and refreshing. Highly recommend.
Loved this place.
Quite a cozy place and it's easy to miss it when you're walking down the golden mile. However, it's an absolute treat to dine here. The food is authentic, take this from an Indian who's born and raised in India for 28 years. I had balti chicken and my friend had butter chicken, was fabulous!
The waitress was super nice and polite. Great service, good ambiance, the music wasn't too loud and good choice of songs. Loved this place.
Amazing! I paid a visit with my family, as a celebration for my sister's graduation. The customer service was perfect! The owner/manager came over to ask about my sister's graduation and if it had been our first time - my dad had notified him of previous visits and the owner/manager remembered exactly what was ordered and the names of those who collected the order. You cannot get better service than this and I say this as a catering manager myself.
The food was served fresh and pipping hot. We ordered a variety of dishes, I will state those I can remember - starters: veg chilli sizzler, aloo tikki, veg manchurian, chilli chicken and chicken samosas. Mains: chicken korma, butter chicken, dal makhani, chicken haka noodles, lamb bhuna, pulao rice, plain and garlic naan & raita. Also, pistachio ice cream.
We ordered lots of different varieties to please everyone in the family - none of the dishes disappointed. We had more than enough to take home with us (big portions, you will not go hungry). The staff are super friendly and were more than happy to accommodate all of our requirements. We even took a celebration cake with us, that was neatly presented at the end of our meal.
The drinks were served in clean glasses - and most importantly, served cold. The dishes and cutlery were all clean and presented well. All food and beverage items were served as ordered; orders were taken down precisely by staff, with excellent care and attention to detail.
The restaurant is clean and it feels very refreshing inside. The temperature was just right. It's a super clean restaurant with the kitchen located in the back (you can't hear anything from the kitchen). The volume of the music was just right, you can have a quiet conversation with your family/friends, without the need to shout. The atmosphere is calming - that's down to the management. I could see the team work between the staff. A well oiled machine.
I will try and upload as many pictures as possible. To be honest I was so excited to dig, that I forgot to take pictures of some of the items.
If you get a chance, I highly recommend going to Everest Parikar. I don't ever visit Indian restaurant, as most are not authentic and don't really cater to Indians. Everest Parikar has real authentic, freshly prepared food with a great team of people to serve you.
Oh my gosh. I just ordered a chicken korma and egg fried rice from this place and it tasted like a piece of bliss!
the egg fried rice is definetly the most delicious i've tried in my life, and i've tried from specific chinese resturants. The Korma.. it was creamy, sweet and the perfeciton i'm used to, just like the egg fried rice, it's the best i've ever tasted, but it had a slight "spicy" tang to it, which was a unique surprise and very welcome.
i love this place!
Lovely food. Everyone in our party enjoyed it, was a little spicy for a few. But really enjoyable. Good sized portions too.
First time visited this place for a Nepalese meal in Leicester city. This restaurant is in a very good location in the town. Foods are delicious and service exceptional. Will visit there soon
Real authentic food, awesome flavours
- only wished I’d found them earlier!!
The best Indian/Nepalese restaurant in Leicestershire. The previous owners handed down the recipes and secrets down to the current owners. It's had the same consistent food for 30 years. Chicken Pili Pili (on the bone) and VC10 salad along with butter chicken, kali daal, and garlic naan is simply heaven. Real, authentic, proper.
Best resturant by far. Food super tasty, service was brillaint . I will always go here . The best spicy veg lacha parotha iv ever tasted. I have eaten in alot places all over the world even in India . The young man was very professional and polite which you don't see in many places. This will be our regular place. :)
It was really nice ambiance, nice slow music really nice food I really like the test
The ambience, the staff, the food...I don't know where to begin! Let me start saying that this review is based on a few times that I have the great pleasure to eat there. This is my absolute favourite restaurant in Leicester. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Highly recommend.
I recently had the opportunity to try the lamb curry at a local restaurant, and I have to say that it was beyond my expectations. The flavor of the curry was rich and complex, with the perfect balance of spices and a tender, succulent lamb that practically melted in my mouth. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant and their lamb curry to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable meal ❤️🤤
I have ordered from here for the 1st time.
The best momos in Leicester.
Thank you.
