It was our first experience of Argentinian food. We celebrated my husband’s birthday. And it was great! First of all we liked cozy atmosphere and high level service. We felt very welcomed there. Everything was clean and tidy which is important for me. But the main thing was FOOD 😋 Absolutely new dishes and tastes for all of us, but everything was freshly cooked and amazingly tasty! Highly recommend 100%!

Polite staff, quick service, great cocktails and delicious food served majority tapas style. Made a reservation (got seated 10 minutes early), they explained the menu to us, food came out hot and cocktails are popular here. The restaurant is clean, well lit and has a nice decor. Recommend trying this place out.

We had six of the tapas style plates: octopus, cod, green beans, tortilla, sausage and lamb shank. It was all excellent. Great flavour. In particular I loved the cod. I'll be back.

The staff are very very nice, always checking on us but not too overbearing. The place itself is beautiful. Great for a birthday or nice date. The food came quickly and was fresh and tasted delicious. Left me wanting more! But the great thing is you can keep ordering!

Very good food, slightly expensive, menu needs explaining. I always think that if a menu needs explaining to you by the waiter, it probably needs some adjustments. Here, it is “small dish” territory, so they recommend you order 3-4 dishes per person. Except the main courses, which you don’t share. But you can. And except they’re not full sized mains, but ‘medium sized’ so one main per person probably isn’t enough. However, over ordering really isn’t a problem because you get to try more of their lovely food! We tried literally half the menu between the 3 adults and 2 kids, and it was faultless, delicious and some we ordered twice! Would recommend this particularly with friends, the more the better as you get to share. We had mocktails too and they were very good.

Came here a few weeks ago for a meal pre-theatre. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful with the menu choices. The mushroom croquettes and the red pepper empanada were absolutely delicious. Calamari was disappointing as was bland and chewy, and the aioli that came with it was tasteless. When then had the acron pork and chicken parilla. Meat was lovely, potato ok potato but again the sauce with it was tasteless. The fries were nice. Desserts of orange polenta cake and chocolate fondant were really nice.

I visited Sonrisa with 6 friends last night, as it was highly recommended. Four of the party were very happy with their food, tasty, well presented and a reasonable portion. Two people ordered the Lamb, which was delicious, but a very very tiny portion, not large enough to be called a main course. Apparently we should have been told this when it was ordered it, but wasn't. My rib eye steak was not good, under cooked and tough, with half of it inedible, but again, very tasty. I have to hand it to the staff at Sonrisa, there were fantastic and they sorted all of the issues out, and we were happy at the end of the night.

Fabulous place! Came here on a quiet Sunday evening (2-4-1 cocktails at the bar!) and had a fab experience from start to finish! Staff are lovely and the place itself is beautifully decorated. We tried the smoking cocktails and they were delicious! (we weren't sure which ones were smoking but the staff let us know when we asked!) We then moved over to the restaurant area and ordered about 17 dishes between 5 of us. We ended up ordering some more beef and mushroom croquettes as they were all so delicious! All the potatoes were delicious and the pork belly was lovely! Well worth a visit here!

This place is awesome. Very spacious and the ambience is very inviting. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Our waiter took his time to explain the menu to us. The cocktails looked and tasted good. The food was excellent. The garlic fries and oxtail empanadas were my favourite. My partner couldn't get enough of the chimmichurrri. I can't wait to come back again. Good value for money.

Nice evening meal out :) Lovely decor when you walk in. Almost rustic vibes. We ended up having a few starters…and then some more…and then some more! So we came to an Argentina style restaurant. And went full Spanish style with tapas of starters 😂 unfortunately I didn’t get pictures of all the food because my stomach was too hungry! All the food was cooked really well and fresh. You could tell it hadn’t been sitting around on the pass for ages. The waitress was lovely and helpful in suggesting her favourites on the menu and trying to pick something out based on our own personal likes. The food was delicious good cocktails to accompany it. It was a busy evening however we never felt like we were being rushed by the staff like you get in some places. All in all, a good night and would recommend to someone who hasn’t been before!

Nice place for an evening out with a group of friends. Was recommended octopus. However, nothing beats the steak. Very tasty steak it was indeed.

Very welcoming, top notch service and a comfy dining room. Food was excellent, the cod and fillet steak were highlights. For the quality of the food and drinks, I thought it was good value for money and I’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

A fantastic place for busy people to have a great lunch and catch up. We ordered the Iberian Lamb Loin, Lamb Cutlet, Chicken Parilla, Cauliflower and some other sides. However I had the Oxtail Tagliatelle and it was gorgeous. Thank you so much Rashid and the kitchen team. Even when we got our order wrong (they were so kind to change one lamb cutlet to the Iberian lamb loin). Sorry no pictures as we were too busy eating, laughing and chatting.

Always had a good meal & great experience here & will keep going back. It’s a joy to be served by Mariana who has looked after us before & a big reason why the place is so special. Mariana is what you look for in a server/manager & is a pleasure to speak to. This is one of the best restaurants in Leicester in my humble opinion. You can have small plates or mix it up with a steak.

Great food with attentive staff. This is a Tapas restaurant, the host explained the menu perfectly. Pictured top left to right is Duroc Pork Belly, Cured Beef Croquettes, Chistorra Sausage, Potato Fry, Chicken Arroz and Oxtail Empanada. Perfect amount for 2 people.
