The Chinese food here is authentic and mouthwateringly delicious with a great variety to choose from on those days when you need to treat yourself or don't feel like cooking.
I love the King Prawn Chow Mein, King Prawn Curry, Prawn Crackers, Chips, and Egg Foo Yung.
The staff are very polite with great service, Shireen the Manageress is love and delivery is an option too.
An essential must visit to the LE2 area.

I have eaten authentic Chinese food from New Golden Dragon on two occasions now and it's been absolutely fantastic in service as well as flavour.. Great food and quenches my cravings when I need it most!

Honestly the best Chinese food in Leicester! It’s authentic and flavourful and very affordable. The portions are large enough to have leftovers for the day after! The lady at the front desk is always so sweet :) 10/10 my favourite treat
I’m not too sure what the overly negative reviews are about, we ordered duck with pancakes, chicken balls, spring rolls along with salt and pepper chips all of which were absolutely delicious, apart from the chips which tasted a little cinnamon-ish. The delivery time was less than 20 minutes and the selection on the menu was insane. A great halal find in Leicester.
A good quality Chinese takeaway and probably the best I've tried in Leicester as of writing. They offer a 10% discount on collection orders although it is cash only. The food can be ordered online though though delivery apps. I had the set meal for 2 which was definitely worth the price for the taste and portion size. Only flaw would be the plastic packaging for some people but I found it useful as I had no containers for university. Service was polite and quick, the waiting area could use a tidy up but there is no eating area so it isn't a real concern for people collecting. Overall I would highly recommend New Golden Dragon if you fancy some good Chinese food.
Went to collect some food and was greeted by a super friendly woman working the front. For the very short interaction, she put a smile on my face and very confident in the food. I ordered Crispy Wontons, Roast Duck with Mushroom, and Golden Dragon Special Fried Rice. Everything was delicious, especially the Crispy Wontons, that I would honestly got back for just to have them again. Overall, a fantastic experience, and would definitely be ordering from them again!

Very good simple chinese food. Delivery does take a while but they do give you some free extras and it's worth the wait for the food. The dishes are well portioned and will fill you up. If you want something more tradition then this is not your place as there is a lack of dumpling/ only have crispy wontons, sushi, duck roll ect, just your easy dishes hence the 4 and not the 5 star price is a bit much for some dishes but they make up for with the portions.
Great service and food quality was excellent. Will be back! I have the House Special Chow Mein at least once a week! Try their special box meals too... Really good value.
Chicken choinmain and butterfly king prawns is amazing. Once I try in Saffron lane Chinese food, but that was waste time and money. I always prefer choose Golden dragon.
The food from this restaurant is always fantastic! We have never been disappointed and it is now our favourite Chinese to order from. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.
