Travelled down from Helensburgh on the Costa Del Clyde today for my brother Trevor Jones 65th birthday. Had a Chinese meal and numerous drinks in this friendly village pub, my favourite water hole in the whole of England.
Great local pub. Friendly staff, well kept beer and a all round lovely place to visit.

Great place to watch the foxes .....screens inside in all bars and also outside in smoking areas. No matter where you sit, you will be able to watch the sport and order a Chinese takeaway at the same time...

We’ve been here and sat in both the bistro and the restaurant and both were delicious. The haddock kedgeree was delicious! Able to cater to gluten-free/celiac too which was great. Restaurant felt very luxurious, though we did have a view of smokers but that’s not the end of the world.

Amazing (and not in a sarcastic way)...
Wife and I had been looking forward to trying this place for quite some time, and as today is my birthday we thought it was about time that we did. The Bulls Head did not disappoint.
Upon entering this dog-friendly establishment, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly member of staff, and we ordered our drinks at the bar. The Spring Equinox by Everards was a delightfully crisp yet hoppy beer. One would assume it was created using the citra and mosaic hops.
We took a couple of menus and ordered our food. The wife had the prawn cocktail, and with it costing just 9 British squids, it was a surprise at the quantity and quality. Fresh, perfectly cooked and served with a basket cone of chips on the side. I was slightly envious. Well, that was until I bit into...
Umami Burger... perfectly cooked and held together very well. I've been to some places where you get a burger to grease ratio of about 60/40. This burger had very little in the way of grease, had a lovely smokiness flowing through and the truffle mayonnaise added to the ever growing orgasm in my mouth. The chips that came with it were out of this world, crisp on the outside and fluffy and light on the inside. These are the best chips I've ever had in a pub/resturant.
The staff were very helpful and always kept a smile on their faces. This made me feel most at home.
We can't wait to come back again!!

A great place to enjoy a meal out with family, friends or both. The hospitality was really good and a warm welcome was provided by all the staff. The team proved to give a fab service throughout the meal. The food was of a very high quality at a reasonable price. Highly recommend to all.
Absolutely stunning meal here with family and dog, love that they have an actual dog food menu and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
Amazing food, every dish we had was perfect and could not be faulted, steak cooked perfectly. The puddings, oh the puddings!

Went here for lunch had a bit of a wait, but we didnt mind it was well worth the wait, the food was amazing, the staff were all great really friendly, will definitely be back again.
Nice local pub. Easily accessible. I had the shepherd's pie. It was absolutely amazing, really tasty and filling. Nice atmosphere. Only criticism would be the confusion around service and ordering. You have to go to the bar to tell them you'd like a meal but then get sent back to your seat to wait.

Just had an exceptional meal outside with great service and my dog was happy as well with fresh water and biscuits we had a roast and the beef and pork was again excellent quality potatoes perfect lots of veg and good price !

We found this pub purely by chance - we were halfway through a really long journey and we were both really hungry, tired and needed a break before we killed each other. What a find this was! We were so well looked after, the menu was great, staff were really friendly and the place itself was lovely. We were fed and watered exceptionally well and really quickly which was most appreciated! Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully cooked- really hot and fresh and generous portions too. They also fed my ridiculous caffeine addiction admirably with lovely strong coffee that was piping hot and not disappointingly tepid like you get in a lot of places. I really can’t say enough good about our visit here. Lovely choices on the menu, super service and excellent value for money. My only regret is that I couldn’t fit a dessert in, because that menu looked good too! Thankyou BullsHead - if we ever get lost out that way whilst driving the length of the country to pick up a ludicrous eBay purchase again we will be sure to come back!
This was my birthday treat from my family. I love the toad in the hole there, my family all ordered different starters and main meals, every plate was clean at the end of the meal. We didn't have long to wait for the food to be served.

We came to our favourite restaurant, to celebrate some great news. As usual, we where greeted so warmly, we had some of the most special meals we have had there yet. Absolutely stunning! Of course. That's why we love visiting, as often as we can.
You can visit for any occasion, a drink, light bite, pub food, restaurant meal. All of which are exceptional.
We look forward to returning as soon as we can.

Very Tasty burgers. Great range of burgers including a vegetarian and vegan option. Looking forward to making my way through the menu. Quite busy ( visited on Monday night and no spare seats) so I recommend you precooked. Big car park, friendly staff, all round great place to eat.

Just stopped off on the way home trying our luck to see if we could get a Sunday lunch and WOW did we ever!!!I went for the kids roast pork as Iv had a gastric sleeve and the mrs an adults beef dinner.
My pork was plentiful and succulent,amazing piece of crackling and lovely stuffing,more then enough for me and the roasted apple was a stroke of genius.the mrs was happy with her beef that looked juicy and also plentiful too.we managed to have a dessert each after the food went down and was blown away with the size and taste of firstly my biscoff cheesecake and then my mrs with her hot chocolate brownie with vegan ice cream.all in all I rated it as my best ever Sunday roast so we will be coming back for sure and telling everyone about how good the staff were,the menu and the amazing food too.dog friendly too which is always good
