Good food, very near authentic. We had sizzlers and fish fry. They give complimentary poppadoms and water with sauces. I think for an Indian himalaya and clowes is slightly better. Also place is very clean and service is good

Have to wait very long to get your food, order your mains with your starter otherwise add more time to your stay it's a good thing cause it's a pub and a relaxed place if your not in a rush. Food is either plane or spicy nothing exciting. But it's not a bad place to eat and it is correct food for the purpose of being a pub , and I would eat here again. Also 1 waiter ain't enough at times. Mains are very good so worth skipping the starter or ordering a couple of starters only. Heard good things about the chef and food comes out hot and sizzling. As for the 2 ladies that came in after us left before us as they ordered the dishes at the start, also there was a small group of us that increase the wait time but considerably longer than usual.

The food is excellent accompanied with a wide choice of dishes. The staff are friendly and efficient minimising waiting times. I would recommend this restaurant for those who are seeking authentic good quality dishes that represent the true flavours and ingredients of traditional Indian cooking. This has to be one of the best Indian restaurants in Leicestershire.

Was recommended by a friend to visit and to try the Sizzler and lamb Chops, and he was right, the food was absolutely bang on! Luvly little place with a good friendly welcoming atmosphere, land lord was very attentive to our needs,the football was on, the food was good the Guinness was good and the staff very welcoming. Nice family atmosphere, and the icing on the cake was the malteasers cheesecake dessert! Wow!

Decided to try the Humberstone out after hearing its recomendations from friends. Came here for a family meal on a Wednesday evening. Parking was easy (there is a private car park right outside the building). As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff. The resturant atmosphere was calm and pleasurable. We ordered drinks and within a very short time we given popadoms with different types of chutneys and salads (the mint yogurt and chillie chutney was amazing). Shortly afterward we were ready to order are food. The staff suggested some great recomendations to try. If you are unsure on what to have dont hesitate to ask for recomendations, as the staff are happy to assist. The food came out in a timely manner and was presented very well. I was abit hesitant about ordering chicken tikka masala from past experiences in other resturants (I always find a major difference in the taste of the dish from one place to another). Well, I'm glad I did try it, it was awesome. It had the original coconut twist to the flavour (which most resturants leave out now) that brings the thickness and sweet/nutty flavour in the sauce; just what I was looking for (I highly recomend giving it a try). The family were very impressed by the quality and flavour of the chicken and lamb sizzler.The chillie paneer and potato bhajias were excellent, they were finnished within seconds of being brought out to the table! In fact the only regret I have is eating so much that I had no room to try the desserts. The resturant didnt have a card machine, however there is a cashpoint very close by, so it wasn't a problem. The resturant has only been open 3 weeks so I'm sure that this will not be an issue for long. Overall I'm very impressed. I have given a 5 star rating based on the awesome selection of food for vegiterians and meat eaters. The staff are very friendly and helpful which made the whole experience more delightful. There are a lack of good family resturants in the Humberstone area and I feel this is just what the community needs. Considering this resturant is under a month old, the potential for its growth is amazing. I look forward to using this resturant and watching its evolution.
