Amazing food. People there cannot do enough to make sure your experience is a great one. Could not recommend a better place for food.
Not been here for over ten years but was in the area and didn’t fancy cooking or takeaway so had a table for 1. A few others in the same boat it would seem. Anyway, the food was great and as I remember the jalfrezi from years ago. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I’d be glad to live near enough for this to be my local.

Hidden Gem of Indian restaurants in Leicester, the staff are friendly the place is clean. The food was very tasty I must say and good portion size. Would highly recommend, booking advisable as it does get busy. If you not been you must try.
We planned a family dinner at the taj I have had takeaways from this restaurant a number of times but this time we decided to seat inside, staff are friendly and food was amazing I am a vegetarian I have to say best Tarka dhal and rice also the veg sizzler is really good . Large selection of drinks and you can’t go wrong with it . Will definitely be returning in the near future keep up the tasty food and friendly service !
I have had a take away from here before and it was good so decided to come here on a Friday night, rang up and booked table with no wait so good and lady on phone was nice.
The place itself inside is clean nice with fire plave on the TVs, the only thing I would change is that it was a tad too bright inside for a late night meal.
Food itself was absolutely amazing and came out reasonable quick and the service was good. This place is now my favourite place for Indian food and we were able to doggy bag left overs which I had the following day A++ on the food.

Absolute smasher of a place, when people say let's go for a curry it's usually Melton road sides or few desi pubs. All I say I'd venture out to this place, you will not be disappointed, great food, limited beers on tap but not too bad given the size of the place. Fantastic service. One of the best set out menu's I've seen in the UK not just Leicester. Looking forward to coming back soon.

The best Indian bar and grill! So underrated, my favourite items are the lamb chops and salt and pepper fish, can’t get better chops in Leicester. The atmosphere and service is brilliant, definitely would recommend Taj bar and grill!

Visited for the first time, the owner turns out to be a good friend of my daughter in law. Really great tasting food 😋 good atmosphere and really reasonably priced would recommend anyone to eat there
