We were a group of 11 mixed Spanish and English speaker who visited on Sat 30th of September. The restaurant is compact, has a nice ambiance and filled with the aromas of delicious Korean food. Although the kitchen became a little overwhelmed with the number of dinners coming all at once (a couple of other large groups came in too) the staff were polite and courteous and above all the standard of the food was excellent.

Absolutely divine. Food was really great. First time in here and I was impressed. Every thing is freshly made, so a little wait but we'll worth it. Will be going again, as everything sounds and smells amazing. Only slight downside is that it's cash or bank transfer only and the place is quite small but cozy with friendly staff.

Four of us went, me for the first time trying Korean food and We were not disappointed! The service here is excellent, everyone is so friendly, the food came out quite quickly and tasted fresh and delicious, definitely recommend this place! A hidden Gem 💎 the atmosphere is good with varied cutlery, nothing was too much trouble. Definitely get the cheesy tteobokki!

Absolutely amazing food. Very authentic Korean food. A must try restaurant. The only downside is waiting time as there was only 1 waiter trying to serve 7 or 8 tables. But I can stand it as the food was amazing.

Unassuming and by far the best Korean food I've had in the UK. Service was fast despite only having one server. Think he adopted the "ppalli ppalli" Korean work culture 😂 would definitely recommend and return. Only one small downside is that there may be waiting times due to small restaurant capacity, but this time we were lucky we didn't have to. Pay by either cash or bank transfer.

The meal was freshly prepared, the restaurant very clean, the service polite and the food very tasty. However the payment method was cash or bank transfer only luckily my friend brought cash with her. Free condiments of pickled lemon and seaweed were brought out first with the very large pot of tea. Oh I tried rice tea for the first time and it complimented the meal perfectly. The food came out sizzling be careful when delving to the bottom of the bowl the food is extremely hot 🔥 my spicy beef soup tasted great lots of veg but lacked beef! There were only a few mouthfuls . Normally in Asian soups they pack the soup with meat. So this was a little disappointing as i was hungry. But overall the food was filling and tasted great!

Excellent food, a really unique restaurant experience that you can't get elsewhere in Leicester. Fantastic flavours. The only downside is that service can be a little slow, 40 min or so the last time we ordered. And it's cash only at the time being.

Delicious authentic Korean food. Well I say authentic, I've no idea really whether it is or isn't, but it's like this; imagine your mum or auntie was Korean, and you wanted. Some nice warming spicy Korean food. Well you'd go to Onggi. The staff are friendly and speak perfect English. The menu is varied with plenty of choice. The TV screens show pictures of food which helps you decide to order everything and have a feast! There are only two downsides: its cash only, so get some out before you go, and; no alcohol is served. Would love to try some Korean beer!

Absolutely delicious food. I have tried a few dishes in South Korea and this place matched it. Will definitely go back to try more.

My partner and I tried to go to Onggi several times, but each time the queue was right out the door. When we did get in, it was easy to understand why it was so busy. The food is absolutely incredible and there is such a variety of it. It isn’t a big place, so therefore struggles to meet demands. Service can sometimes be slow but the food is definitely worth it. They don’t accept card payments yet (Jan 2019)

Who would have thought that Leicester would have a Korean place? Well this restaurant is amazing for Korean food. The staff is amazing and friendly. This restaurant is very popular with University students! One time it got so busy that I had to wait for a bit but good thing there is a pub nearby to get a pint of beer. Anyways, the food here is amazing and delicious. This is a good place to take your friends out for dinner. My friend and I liked this place so much that we tried to come here as often as possible before flying back to our respective home after finishing our studies in Leicester. This restaurant does not open for lunch as far as I am aware. I wish I took more pictures but these will make do. One day when I return to Leicester for a visit, I will return to this place!

Love this place. Spent some time in Korea and the meals here really take me back. Staff are lovely and food is great, comes out in good time and really high quality. Honestly you can't get a better Korean for the price in the country! Just get a selection of dishes and tuck on. Tteokbokki, Japchae and Kimchjeon are great starters to share, while the Dolsotbulgogi bibimbap and kimchi jiggae are great mains. Honestly though I've had many of the main meals and not been disappointed by any! My only suggestion is to get a drinks license and serve some soju!

I had so many people raving out Onggi but for a good year I never could find the time to try it. And finally I have - and oh was it worth the wait. This is by far the best Korean food experience I've had. Not only were the staff wonderful and had great hospitality, but the food was to die for. I got full a good 3/4 into my food but I powered through because it was so good. My boyfriend ordered two mains, destroyed him visibly but he too agreed it was worth it. I will be coming again, and again, and again!

This was the first time for me to try Korean cousine. I had Dolsot (rice served in a hot stone bowl) with beef, egg and vegetables (Bibimbap). The ingredients felt very fresh and their equilibrium was just perfect. Everything was able to stand out without being overwhelmed by any of the ingredients or by the spicy paste that it came with, which was instead a nice addition with a firm and earthly taste. My friends ordered some other variants of dolsot which I tasted and enjoyed, on top of a spicy beef and tofu soup. Despite an above average wait, all the sudden the table was covered with tasty food. The chicken wings were a really welcomed surprise, with a crunchy caramelised flake to them and sprinkled with a handful of sesame seeds. Prices were honest. I really recommend this great restaurant with a welcoming and international atmosphere. I will definitely come back. PS As I write I am still digesting and even the burps taste nicely

My friend took me here because he claimed they do the best wings in the world. I can't deny it they truley are. Bring cash because they only accept cash or bank transfers. The place itself is small and cozy with friendly staff.

The food is very authentic Korean food and definitely the delicious Korean cuisine I have ever eaten. I already went there so many times and will definitely be going there again if I crave some Korean food.
