Great homecooked food,tasty and filling
Try the lunchtime special!
delicious twist on your typical kebab. we had the sheekh and chicken Tikka, laced with sauces and salad, on a bed of freshly made Naan bread. Highly recommended and great service from the staff! Good food. Good people!
I have been visiting Ravioli's since 2007 and I will continue to as long as possible.
The restaurant is always clean and tidy and having seen the kitchen it is well organised and hygienic.
The staff have always been warm, welcoming and extremely friendly. I would go as far as saying that they treat you like family.
The menu is vast and caters well for vegetarians. I have tried most of the vegetarian options over the years and let's start with their Indian food.
It is authentic and home cooked style, in fact, quite unique with deep and rich flavours and a good amount of heat. The paneer tikka masala has always been a favourite as I can not find it cooked in that way anywhere else. The naan is soft, fresh and flavoursome. The daal is akin to some of the best Indian fine dining restaurants I have visited.
The pizza is better than most takeaway pizza shops with an airy base and crispy crust. There is also a better choice of toppings here.
The noodles and pasta are special in that they have a Ravioli's special twist. It is a great fusion of Italian and Indian flavours combining both herbs and spices very well.
Although their masala chips are less spicy than they used to be, they must be tried in a masala chip butty with cheese! Even better if you ask for the bread roll toasted.
The original reason, I used to visit Ravioli's was because it is great value for money. Over the years, I've realised that they could have increased their prices because the quality is great. However, it is apparent that the owners are not extorionists but humble and honest and want everyone to share in the happiness of their cooking!
The owners are very accommodating and will go out of their way to ensure the food is right for you. It will be a sad they when Ravioli's closes.
Thank you for your wonderful food and hospitality 😊
Never ceases to amaze me on this amazing little place that is very accommodating. The found has never been an issue for me with a good quality, fresh taste and consistency. It's great for working lunches.
Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. Very delicious
Really tasty food and lovely people. Italian food with an Indian tinge and reasonably priced.
Worth trying the pastas, loved it. The chilli garlic bread were great too. Paneer was really soft too.
Worth a try!
I order regularly at lunchtime at work but have been put off ordering takeaway at home (husband likes the chicken pasta) because the minimum order value of £20 is just too much for 2 of us. Please consider lowering it because you already charge £3 delivery. Delicious food every time by the way!!!
Oooh the curries are good here. This place is run by people who want you to enjoy your food. My sister had lamb biryani and I had the mixed vegetable curry with buttered naan. Delightful sharp heat, depth of flavour and textures. My sister reported tender lamb pieces infused with flavour. And one point of real difference - the use of oil was clearly minimised to make the curries lighter so the main ingredients shine through. It worked for us.
By the way, the menu is vast and includes pizza and pasta, which seems ambitious. But I’ll leave it to others to comment on them. This is a diner with simple decor serving great value and interesting, high quality curries you will love.
One of the restaurants I always go back to when I'm in Leicester. There is a great variety on the menu, and all the dishes are delicious. The prices are very good and the staff are so welcoming. I thoroughly recommend visiting if you're in the city centre.
This place is very deceiving. From the outside its a small not so modern cafe, BUT the food is the real reason to visit this place. You simply have to try it for yourself. I can recommend the chicken tika kebab but this is nothing like you get from your local chip shop. The food here is great and all cooked fresh to order, so don't expect to pop in and walk out (or eat in) with your food in 5 minutes, the wait is really worth it and is on off our favourite and affordable places to eat. Go give it a try!
I’ve not been here in over 10 years and it’s just as good as I remember! Had the paneer tikka special, chilli cheese garlic bread, paneer tikka masala and creamy mushroom with red onion pasta. All the dishes were great !!
We eat regularly at Ravioli's and the food, service and owners are all amazing. The place has undergone a complete refurbishment and feels much bigger and ultra modern. The food is as delicious as ever. A truly local business with a husband/wife team who are very attentive, polite, eager to help and kind. I have been eating here for years and the food has ALWAYS been consistent. I would hugely recommend Ravioli's. The only thing to consider now guys is some vegan options to capture that market so some soya/tofu/seitan dishes would be great - especially with the unique Ravioli's taste. Keep it up! See you soon.
Lovely food, fab owners, small independent family run restaurant. Recently given another face-lift. Been going here for well over 15 years.
Veg lasgane is soo good and pasta and paneer dishes are amazing. Don't forget to order their masala fries made with their own recipe sauce.
Thoroughly enjoyable food close to the heart of Leicester. We ordered the Paneer Wrap without onion or garlic and they were more than happy to accommodate. The food was delicious, spicy but enjoyable as were the chips. My mum loves spicy food and the chili chips she ordered brought tears (of joy) to her eyes. We were all very happy.
One issue/piece of advice was the length of time the food takes. If you're in a rush (lunch break, parking time limit etc) it's strongly advised you pre-order your food before you go in. We ended up waiting approximately half an hour while several groups of people funneled in after and received their food fairly quickly (from pre-ordering, as the staff informed us.)
The food was worth the wait though (and for a good price) and I'd recommend it to anyone considering giving it a go.
PARKING: There's a lot of roads and nearby car parks around the area which can be used, but expect to pay during the day time.
We did a conference dinner. The food was amazing and incredibly cheap. We were also allowed to bring our bottles of wine, so students delegates were EXTREMELY happy. Thank you very much to Bally and the team!
I love Raviolis, been coming here for at least 10 years now and the food and service is always consistently of a good standard. It's family owned and run. My own personal favourite is the veg lasagne and the cheese and chilli garlic bread.
