Hubby and I had a delicious buffet meal (which I won on Indigo facebook). Tried several dishes never had before and all were piping hot and tasty. Poppadoms were lovely and crispy. We couldn't go to Indigo without ordering the chilli paneer as it's our favourite. The best chilli paneer ever, hot and garlicky and delicious. We don't get to go very often and this visit was for my birthday. Best birthday meal. The staff were friendly and when they knew it was my birthday didn't charge for the paneer which was very kind. Hope to visit again soon. Highly recommend.

We've been to the restaurant a number of times & it's been hit & Miss especially with the kids food coming out spicey. Today we had an absolute lovely experience, not only was every dish we ordered lovely the staff & atmosphere was too. We got a table within 5/10 mins of coming without booking.. even though they was very busy, the lovely lady (i think she runs the kitchen) was there so I did ask her if she could cook the children's dishes as it's always perfect when she makes it & she said she will go into the kitchen & makesure its all fine. Not only that half way through our meals she came over apologised for the bad experience we had with the children's food in the past & gave both the children hot cookie dough & ice cream on the house! Such a lovely lady & fantastic customer service! We will definitely be back. Thankyou once again! X

Great value buffet, we said we are vegan and they made an extra dish for us as there were a couple of things containing milk we couldn't eat.

Amazing food and service! All family get togethers seem to always be this place as first choice! No guesses why! The atmosphere is wonderful too!

A family run restaurant it is a local favourite. Though it's not the most comfortable to sit in it does exceptional food, my favorite being the Chilli Paneer. The prices have risen over the years and the portions are getting smaller but there's a reason the restaurant is packed during the weekends.

The most superb vegetarian restaurant in Leicester. Their famous chilli paneer and aubergine stir fry is a must, particularly if you hate aubergines as you'll be in awe after trying these! The ginni dhosa and noodles are always a treat too. Food is served very promptly and portions and prices are reasonable. Non vegetarians are truly impressed by this restaurant too. So give it a try if you're in Leicester

Indigos has a special place in my heart even if it has changed over the years. We visited this place religiously for years and I still crave the signature dish (chilli paneer, £5-7) now and then. Many people aren't aware of Indo-Chinese cuisine but it is an Indian adaptation of Chinese food (immensely popular with vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike) so you'll often see dishes prefixed with chilli, schezwan or stir fried. Despite trying much of the menu here the chilli paneer, aubergine stir fry and salt and pepper mushrooms remain firm favourites (sorry Indigos I know the crispy bhajia and veg manchurian are popular but I still think my mum makes these better). If you're in Leicester and fancy some heat, pop over to Indigos to get your fix.

A very good reason to come to Leicester. I take good food very seriously. I usually opt for my usuals that never fail to make me happy when I'm full. They are cheese dosa, egg plant stir fry and the dessert that cannot go wrong the coconut ice cream (I come from the tropical country Indonesia and we have got plenty of coconuts, but this is the best coconut ice cream I have ever had!).

I can't give anything other than 5 stars to Indigo! They catered for my wedding and we were very pleased with everything, from presentation, to flavors, to execution, communication and service. It's an all veg place and with these flavors and innovative cooking you will not miss the meat. I still remember most of the dishes they served at our wedding - I still crave the Gold coin appetizer! They have many options for catering and are very experienced staff. We have dined in many times and always felt most welcome. The owner Jagdish is very friendly and accommodating. Last time he let us try some new dishes they were trying out to put on the menu. Food is always so good and every time I go to Leicester I make a point to go to Indigo. I love the Hakka noodles here and also the chili paneer! The indo-Chinese food is superb! The ambiance feels like a pub and it is quite large with three floors. It gets quite busy at weekends.

All veg place, good for take out or eating in. First time I have ate at the restaurant. I mainly got introduced to Indigo as my partner is vegitarian, the food isnt always consistant, but when it's good, it will make you forget bout steak :P ... Not a big fan of the Indo Chinese part of the menu and would recommend staying away. I strongly recommend the Chilli paneer, Aubergine stir fry (must) and the Crispy potato bhajia.

Exceptionally good food. A family restaurant, which has its ups and downs. Decor is a little dated; in need of a refurb.

I LOVE this place. If you're after something with an Indian twist, this is the place for you. Its indo-Chinese. Im not a huge fan of dining in vegi restaurants, but if i do fancy it, i always go here! The food is exceptional. It was previously a pub. If you love spicy food this is the place for you. The service is good but catch them on a busy night and you may have to wait. Paneer I something they make really well. Best time to go is Monday Wednesday. Friday & Saturday are busy days and you may need to book a table. I feel hungry now : )

Info: You can expect to spend around £10-20 per person here. There may also be a wait time for tables, so it is best to call and make a reservation to ensure a place. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible from the front, though some seating areas can only be accessed by going down a step or two. They also have an upper seating area. Would highly advise to call and book a reservation for any wheelchair users to guarantee a table in a wheelchair friendly area. Our experience: Indigo was a pleasant place to eat, though very very busy as we went at a peak time. We had the restaurant menu (as opposed to the buffet). It seems that one item from our order was forgotten, but after enquiring this was rectified as they made it immediately. Harsh in particular was a great server, always serving with smiles and being happy to assist, despite us making quite a few changes to our order. In general, I would avoid visiting at peak times, as the place is quite busy. The food is of great quality, even if it may take a while to come, it is usually worth it. The photos include the cheese and tomato pizza and the vegetable schezwan noodles, and photos of the menu as of 16/09/2023.

I gave it five stars based on my only 23 visits, never read the comments and was hoping to visit again this weekend when I come to Leicester. Not sure if I should read comments again.. I personally had a good dinner but I'm not a regular there but some of my Leicester friends do Rate the place.. Do people have very high expectations these days ?? I mean the venue is nice but it's not in am exclusive place, not that I know what the area is like but it's placed in a very random area. Not to familiar with the area, but the food and service should count for more.. Maybe in London we don't have these kind of places,to be fair Regency has lat me down to recently..Will come back again soon..

We visited indigos last Sunday.we were waiting a long long time for someone at the table. Two girls were roaming there without giving us a look.suddenly a gentleman ran to us from the drinks section and apologized for our long wait. He gave us menu with a gentle smile and took our orders on time and delivered the food as well. Still we are confused about the other staff who are simply roaming through there. We collected his name in the end and this review is for his efforts. Thankyou Mr. Vishnu. Keep it up

I have to admit it's been many years since I've come here. Decided to bring my elderly mum here for Holi dinner. Not a great start because we were kept waiting and forgotten about despite having booked whilst they cleaned table. And no menus given at table. Manshi provided fantastic customer service before, during and after dining. She was personable, patient and gave some recommendations. Food was tasty and came in a timely manner. We had the sweetcorn soup, dahi puri, aubergine stirfry, dal palak with fresh garam rotli. Prices have gone up. Recommend!

We visited Indigo for the first time in the last week. I would like to thank Vishnu for giving a few Ferraro chocolates for my kid who was crying because of the delayed food delivery.that kind effort from him stopped my kid from crying and he also ensured immediate delivery of my kid's food. Thank you so much.

We had a delivery. The food was amazing but unfortunately everything came in non recyclable containers so I won't get a delivery again. I would definitely go to the restaurant though as the food was lovely.

On the day we went we had special needs. Staff could not be more helpful, they put themselves out to accommodate our needs and were very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Can definitely recommend to others looking for good food which is value for money, and friendly helpful staff too. Drasti, in particular, was exceptionally helpful. All staff are polite, helpful, friendly and approachable. Thank you everyone.

I came to the buffet yesterday. It was a good experience the pizza and garlic bread was too good and the service was excellent, especially that bearded short guy(I think his name is vishnu)he came to our table a few times. We will be definitely coming again.

Hey, I tried your vegetable dum biryani on the 10th. It was absolutely amazing and delicious, one of the best veg biryanis I've had in Leicester! I decided to order it again, but I couldn't find it on the menu. Can you explain why????

We re-visited indigo after a long time to try their festive menu with our close friends. Surprisingly shocked to find a really good selection of food on offer on buffet. We had no issues with the service, food was nice and hot, considering it was a miserable weather outside, with a warm fire to warm us we really had a good time. highly recommend the festive menu. No doubt will be going again before the menu is changed. Well done Indigo for thinking outside of the box.
