Came in this morning to collect 160 Christingle oranges and do my Christmas veg shop - the first time I’ve bought them from here. Oranges organised with no fuss at all, fruit and veg looks lovely - and staff were all friendly, helpful and cheerful even though the place was really busy. What a great shop! I think I’ll be becoming a regular!
Highly recommend the new cafe just opened, lovely food, came nice and hot with lovely welcoming staff. Competitive prices, will definitely go again!
Lovely farm shop with local produce very well presented - helpful staff . Great cafe - busy but food worth the wait and served by pleasant polite staff all with a smile.
Very helpful and friendly staff and an enormous choice of very high quality farm fresh produce. Love this shop. 10/10

Only visited for the first time before Christmas and loved it ! Been back since and now will become a regular customer !! Great products, really fresh and everything you could need ! :)
Fantastic place wish I'd know about it sooner. Really great personal service. I'm coeliac and Chris Attfield got on some gluten free things I asked about. Definitely go and visit. Great fresh fruit and veg as well as meat and pet food and bedding. Definitely a regular from now on
Been for the first time today and definitely be back.. highly recommended
What a lovely place! Recommended by a friend and so glad they did. Will definitely be back!
Just had one of your brocklebys Beef pies for our dinner I have to say it's the best beef pie I have ever tasted yum yum ..... Also would like you to know your wild ducks taste amazing ...
Attfields is a large farm shop near Cosby, Leicestershire. They sell a wide range of local fresh produce - fruit and veg, baked goods, raw and cooked meat products - along with some less-local fruit and veg, gift items, preserves and packed foods, all of which have an artisan or ethical/organic stance. The bakery has some wonderful bread and cakes that really have to be tasted. Seasonal lines can be lovely if a little expensive. They also sell pet/animal feeds. There is a reasonable car park, and all round access is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, a great shopping experience, just be prepared to buy more than you planned.
Sometimes living in a village has it's advantages like shopping from local farms :). I love this place and I am shopping from here quite often. I started shopping here when my little one was just 6 months old ( now he is 2) and I needed fresh veggie, and later on fresh and organic meat for his weaning journey. Quite pricey some of them, but it's woth every penny, believe me. I am so happy I have this place so close to where we live. They are filled with everything you need: fresh fruits and veggies, frozen fruits, veggies, meat or cheese, all kind of belvoir beverages, cakes, pastries and bread, fresh eggs, jams, curds or marmalade. You can also enjoy breakfast or lunch here, inside or outside. You can also find food for your furry friends. The parking is free and they also have electric vehicle charging stations. You can also buy hay, straws and shavings. All what you need in one place.
Overall,is such a nice place to shop, eat and have a nice time. We really love it.
Shop local❤️.
Lovely fresh produce, lots of it is locally sourced. Some items are a bit expensive but for the most part it's affordable. The cafe serves lovely coffee and the staff are friendly. It's easy to get around with a pushchair and the parking is quite good too.
I visited this place as it was on the my way to home. I drove in to check what they were selling. Lots of fresh local fruits and vegetables. They also do varieties of ready made cakes and frozen fruits including chips.
Fresh strawberries 🍓 and Cherry 🍒.
Free parking
Seasonal fresh cut flowers with small pots.
Not sure how fresh the gala Apple were but you could only get 4 for £1.50 but most supermarkets you can get 5 or 6 for £1.25
Similar to above.. few items were slightly over priced compared supermarkets.
Not sure if they sell fresh meat as never seen anything or asked.
First visit to this shop for many years and it is now a real gem. Lots of fresh and local produce in a really roomy and well laid out store. We bought fresh fruit and veg, a large sack of potatoes and were tempted into 2 delicious local cakes (coffee and walnut and a lemon drizzle). Plenty of parking and a cafe attached. We didn’t try the cafe but it was busy and obviously very popular. Well worth a visit.
Not just a farm shop...
This place situated just outside Whetstone is a real gem. Fresh local produce is in abundance here. Prices are very reasonable. I always use this place for their fresh duck eggs (who doesn't like duck egg on marmite toast for breakfast?).
The Deli section has a wide variety of chutneys, jams, marmalades, mustards and many more local goods at a very good price.
The meat is very reasonably priced, for example I spotted wild duck for about £5. We also had a huge beef roasting joint for £8 (it fed 2 of us plus had leftovers to make a philly cheesesteak omelette with).
Today I picked up a whiskey marmalade and it is absolutely delicious!
Attfields staff are very friendly and accommodating, which is such a good asset to a locally run, locally sourced business.
As a sufferer of anxiety and have sensory issues, I find this place really relaxing. Everything is clean and well laid out. There is no horrible music blaring away, which is great if you want to talk to the person next to you whilst picking your favourite produce.
The disabled toilet is spotless, very large and well maintained. Idea if you use a wheelchair or have a pushchair.
The pet section is huge and very well stocked with all budgets catered for.
The craft beer selection from local breweries is very vast and there is almost too much to choose from. Prices here are also very reasonable.
We haven't had the chance to eat at the cafe yet, however will be looking to do so in the coming months.
Overall this is my favourite Deli/farmshop in the UK, not just Leicester (and I originally come from the middle of nowhere with a vast array of farmshops).
Well done Attfields for having such a good business model and I wish you all the success in the future 👍
I visited Attfields with my daughter and toddler granddaughter for lunch and a bit of food shopping, i thoroughly enjoyed my Scampi lunch as did Elsie my Granddaughter as she was partial to a bit of Scampi, she's not 2 yet but knows what she likes and Scampi hit the spot, we went shopping after lunch and purchased quality food as is the norm here, so a good visit as expected, good food, drink, atmosphere and service and will go back as it is a very good quality venue
Me and mum go there often great food in restaurant, and fresh local produce in the shop section
Absolutely amazing breakfast. I had the large and it is definitely value for money. Highly recommended. Also the staff are very polite helpful and nice 👍
Excellent food at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking and a coffee shop.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Nice farm shop / cafe. Open from 8am week days. Well presented cafe with freshly cooked breakfast at £7.95 for a medium size . Very busy and lots of repeat customers. Worth a look in even if it's just for a coffee, with seated area outside to relax
Great food and very nice staff. Just a shame the place is large so echoes with cutlery being sorted, chairs scrapping etc... so it can get noisy at busy times. The well stocked farm shop makes it very convenient too!
Only popped in to see the relatively new café (well it's about 9 months!). Very impressed with what we had and looking forward to coming back again to try more... whereupon I am expecting to update this review 😀
Update (March 2022): still very good, and they've sorted out queueing and service well.
Update (Jul 2023): still good!
Update (Jan 2024): still good 🙂
Called in for breakfast on Sunday morning, just what the doctor order for a hangover, it was beautiful 😍 fabulous breakfast, could have smal med, or large, prices bit on the high side but we'll worth it.
Then had walk around the shop, OMG they sell everything, from fresh eggs to fresh chickens loads fruit and veg, great place. Definitely recommend
Friendly staff, great produce in the shop.
Cafe was bright, clean and welcoming. We had the ploughmans and it was amazing! Great sized portion and all fresh and presented well. Would 10/10 recommend and will 100% visit again.
Love this little gem! Loads of local fresh and frozen produce, a machine to make your own fresh orange juice, good selection of meats, dairy and pickles/jams/chutneys in loads of flavours. My fave part being the awesome selection of cakes they have! There's a cafe on site too (which I havnt tried just yet) and a big pet food section too but not just for dogs, they do horse food too! Highly recommend to anyone who likes food really. Pricing is really good too!
