Pleasant pub - the building has a lot of history.
Interesting menu, almost everything, including their specials, are on a '2 for 1' deal which means you can save a lot of money.
If you are in a group, arrange to pay in groups of 2 with main meals of similar prices, or the till just takes off the cheapest meal prices first!
I could only find negative reviews on this pub/ restaurant, it nearly put me off going but I'm very glad I went. Yes, it was busy and yes, it wasn't easy to get served at the bar but this is obviously a popular pub and the staff were doing their best. I found the manager helpful and friendly, the food was good, the price was very reasonable with their 2 for 1 offer and our waitress, Hayley, was a star. Talk about multi-tasking efficiency! She seemed to be attending to at least 3 or 4 different things at once, was unfailingly polite and cheerful and our order was taken and our meal was served very promptly. Top marks!
Nice and friendly hosts (credits to Jack). Food was delicious and we had a good Mother’s Day evening. Went on walk after and it was very peaceful.
The staff were attentive. About 15/20 minute wait for food, totally acceptable as you know it is being cooked from scratch.
Excellent battered fish, enough chips, only a small portion of mushy peas so they went cold before they were finished. On the whole a very good meal.
I hate to see an overloaded plate as it puts me off it was a pleasant surprise to see this meal as it was well presented.

Had a lovely spring lunch with my keep fit group. 23 ladies and no prebooking of food. Marie and Lori did a fantastic job and our meals were served together, hot and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much
There was confusion about a table that we booked for three. We ended up in a nice very tight booth. The service was very friendly and staff were very proficient especially from Maria. Food was very tasty quite basic. Fish was rather small but the puddings amazing. Very reasonably priced overall. The restuarant was very noisy but that was to be expected because was Friday and a Band to boot. They tried as best they could bless them. We have been there a number of times celebrating over many many years. Overall a really nice pleasant evening.
Went for a Christmas lunch with friends, it was so festive, food was excellent and staff were lovely. Marie served us and was warm, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us.
Polite and welcoming greeting when we first arrived, after being shown to our table the service was prompt to take drinks order. Food ordering was quick and easy, our server (sorry didn’t get his name) was courteous at all times. We had starters which were a good portion, the mains were filling and the steak was the best I have tasted in ages, flavours were amazing and cooked perfectly. After dinner we went into the bar for a couple of cocktails and shots. Bar staff again were polite and service was quick. Overall an amazing experience and won’t be long till we’re back.
Visited for the first time today and greeted with friendly faces! Lots of choice for food and drink, staff were great also! Esme was our waitress and she was very friendly, and gave a great recommendation of strawberry ice cream!
We booked a table for 18 people to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. The table service from start to finish was 100%, food came out all together. Food was well cooked and delicious, empty plates all round. The lady who took our orders couldn't help enough. Thank you Glen Parva Manor for making my wife's birthday meal perfect. As always very nice food and great atmosphere.
Very pleasant and helpful staff looked after us really well , food was delicious and arrived in good time from ordering even tho we were a table of 13. It was aa family gathering to celebrate 3 birthdays and we had travelled fr9m Grimsby to celebrate and you certainly helped us with that.

We booked a table for 12. The service was great: quick and friendly. Even when we explained that we wanted 5 different bills.
Bar staff also cheerful and polite.
The quiz was well run with clear questions but plenty of time for answers and chat.
We left with empty plates and good memories.
Our art group once again had an excellent evening at Glen Parva Manor where we had our annual Christmas get together. Outstanding service, the staff were super efficient, each course was served very quickly so we all ate together. The portions were good and the quality of food excellent. All the staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks for a great evening. Merry Christmas

I cannot compliment the food, the service, the staff enough. We were a big group and you met and exceeded our expectations. It was an amazing evening that had lots of positive feedback from all of our group. The price was good the food was hot, plentiful and tasty. Loved it. The staff that served us are a credit to you so thank you so much and we look forward to it next visit .
Had a fantastic meal, lovely classic pub food. Caroline looked after us really well was professional, really affable and incredibly patient with my drunky family. We had a lovely time.
We booked lunch on Boxing Day for the family and had a wonderful time. The service was excellent and the staff were all very friendly. The food was enjoyed by the whole party. Our dog was also made very welcome. Good value for money. Will certainly visit again when we are back in Leicester.
Absolute brilliant time celebrating my grandfathers birthday, we had a brilliant waitress called Marie. She made sure my grandfather had a wonderful atmosphere and lots of smiles. Thankyou so much!

The service was excellent! The order for drinks was served straight the way, our meals were delicious and desserts too.
We were a party of 12, but we all were served together and we all enjoyed our chosen meals.
Well done to everyone at the Manor, we will definitely be back soon.
