With so many places to eat in Leicester it would have been easy to walk past the humble exterior of the Silver Street Cafe, but I'm so glad we didn't. This place should be famous, it way exceeded my expectations! I popped in early Sunday afternoon with my wife and son, mainly because I thought it looked cheap from the outside. The food was absolutely bang on. My wife and I had a full English breakfast, I went for the King Richard, she had a medium. My son opted for a cheeseburger n chips. Honestly the best value breakfast I've ever had. Not only tasty but literally king size. When the food arrived, quickly I might add, all three plates were way bigger than I was expecting. Amazing value. The King Richard breakfast is a real challenge to finish, it's enormous. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent.

Went after stumbling across this place while looking for a decent breakfast. We ordered two medium sized breakfasts and really weren’t disappointed. Lovely meal, decent produce and piping hot. Will definitely use this place again.

One of the best places to eat with the locals in Leicester. The price is good. When I visit Leicester I come here every time because I know I'm going to get a good meal and be around friendly people. The food is so delicious. I always have the English Breakfast. If your vegetarian or vegan you can get that here. The staff are nice . They make sure your meal is properly done. I will try something else on their menu the next time I go here.

Recommended by a friend so I turned up here at 1015 on a Sunday morning. The staff were chatty and welcoming. I knew what I wanted so I ordered at the counter and sat at a table. My drinks turned up promptly and the food took around 10 mins. Bright spacious and starting to get busy but still quiet. The food was really good and it did not taste like it had been on a hot plate. I will be coming here again and highly recommend to anyone wanting a good breakfast at a reasonable price.

Traditional English cuisine served in unpretentious premises in the centre of Leicester. Generous portions of homemade dishes at modest prices, representing excellent value for money. Such places are rare. Well worth visiting.

Really solid Sunday morning fry up. Spent about £12 but I added tea and a Coke onto my massive breakfast.
