Visited this morning for breakfast with the Easter bunny. Excellent value for money, our little boy loved doing the crafts, the egg hunt and meeting Easter bunny! It's a shame there was a queue for the face painting but I'm sure he wouldn't have sit still for long enough anyway! The staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy it too Thankyou to everyone who made our Easter morning so lovely! Xxx

Just came across this excellently placed pub. Sitting on the side of a lovely little river (with many canal boats parked alongside). It has a fantastic outside dining area with plenty of easy parking. Has your standard pub favourites plus a few interesting additions. But I couldn't go past the 8oz steak with a choice of 2 sides (Wednesday special = £8.00) the steak was excellent cooked med rare as I wanted. It missed out on 5 stars as there were a number of items not available but the excellent server did say they had been very busy during lunch because of the lovely weather, so a number of popular items had just sold out. Which I can understand as it is a lovely place to sit outside for a meal. I will be going back!

I recently visited the Hope and Anchor in Leicester, and it was a cozy pub experience. The ambiance is welcoming, and the staff is friendly. I enjoyed the traditional pub fare, especially the local flavors infused into the dishes. However, I did notice some service delays during busy times. Despite that, it's still a great place to unwind with friends, savor good food, and soak in the classic British pub vibes.

Booked a table for 16 people for work Christmas lunch. Despite people requiring Veggie, Vegan, gluten free and full on Christmas Dinner the food was delicious and hot. The service was outstanding, with our server being very attentive and even happy to supply extra gravy and custard. The table was set beautifully and the atmosphere warm, welcoming and Christmasey. Thank you so much.

If you're looking for a big tasty steak then this is the place you're looking for. Chips are amazing also. I've tried lots of steaks around uk but never eat one this good. Definitely going back! Congratulations!

Really nive family friendly pub .. we visited on a busybsunday and booked last minute after losing a table close by. They happily accommodated us party of 8 with 4 children. The service was great friendly and helpful and didn't get annoyed when the kids kept getting bit excited and stroking round. Interacted so nicley with the kids giving them some coloring to do to help us adults eat. Would definatley visit again. Lovely location too would have been nice had it been a better day as the car park had flooded slightly. Thank you to all the staff.

Good food and nice staff. This place could do with a refurbishment and somewhere for the children to play while waiting for food. This place is in a great location and could be a fantastic little place if it was modernised. The staff are very helpful and will try there very best to make you feel welcome. This would be a great place to sit and have a drink by the river in summertime

Pleasantly suprised on my first visit to this pub tonight. We walked in to a valentines quiz, hosted by the DJ who played some good music. He also did a guess the artist /song/actor quiz afterwards, which I found was a nice little entertainment. The food was good, my partner enjoyed his steak and I enjoyed my chicken skewers. The coleslaw needs abit of work though, it didn't have much taste to it and was very dry. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would go back in the summer, I should imagine it's a beautiful setting outdoors with the river that runs alongside.
