Having been several times over the years, I highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant. Fantastic food, brilliant service and extremely friendly staff who make you feel more than welcome.

Service was fab and the music was great...had us all up and dancing...I had the best leaving do, thank you very much!! As the President of The Canadian Law Society at Leicester University, I hosted a dinner with 70 guests at this venue for Canadian Thanksgiving. I was extremely pleased with La Vida's five star quality food, great atmosphere, and phenomenal service. Cimi, the owner, makes it his job to please every customer that walks through his door. He is a great leader to his team and a lively host that always goes above and beyond for his guests. Cimi prides himself on quality, and only uses the freshest homemade ingredients in his delicious dishes. Since our Canadian dinner event, I have been back to La Vida for dinner every week. I highly recommend his 'Paella' on Thursday nights. For all you seafood lovers, you will fall in love!
A relaxed and friendly atmosphere that served tasty, authentic Italian & Greek food at a very reasonable price. Love this restaurant and looking forward to my next visit.
A fine little Italian gem 5 minutes from the train station .hidden off the main road ..lovely host and chef .prawns were wonderful .

Fantastic right from when I came in the door. The maitre d was the happiest man I've ever met and was very accommodating I walked in for takeaway even though they don't really do so apart from in the neighborhood. I enjoyed a fine beer while I waited and the food was absolutely excellent even with the short walk back to the hotel! We might be back tomorrow night!

We had a lovely meal in Mono Vita this evening. It was great that the restaurant was open early evening as we have a 6 year old so tend to need 'dinner' at about 5.30pm.
The service was great. Nothing was too much trouble and the gentleman serving made a real fuss of our little one.
The food was delicious. All was prepared freshly and was nicely presented. The chicken and mushroom pasta was a real highlight! We would certainly recommend!
Visited this place with friends. The owner was super accomodating and we were all treated very well. As for the food, delicious. I will come back here for meals with friends. We were too busy having a laugh and enjoying the meal so I didn't have time to take photos of their food but the quality was great, portions a good size and not too pricey.
Great place, the owner is fantastic and will do everything to make your visit fun and relaxing. The food is delicious, fresh ingredients cooked to order, great selection of drinks, they do a mean baileys coffee 😉 You can book for large groups and they have a function room upstairs which has a really nice atmosphere. I much prefer eating at small family run places like this than those big soulless franchise chains. There is a good car park nearby on Dover Street which is only £2 for the evening after 6pm and the streets around Dover street have some free parking after 6pm too if you can find a space.
Small yet Friendly restaurant, live music (lady on organ) really lovely gentle back ground music, food was Fab, I had roasted haloumi starter, and beef stifado as main, large lumps of tender beef cooked in a red wine gravy, generous portions, friendly staff, the other half had garlic mushrooms starter, and a chicken main which he thoroughly enjoyed judging by the two empty plates. Good value for money too. We had 2 drinks each as well, and got change from £60 ..well worth a visit 👍
On the edge of the city centre. This is a little gem of a restaurant. The food was great and the service from Artan the owner and his staff was excellent. Also nice simple live music. I did not count but I would say there was about 22 covers. Much better than the plastic restaurants in the centre.
Absolutely loved the food here. A small group of us from Birmingham were in Leicester to see a show and randomly ended up in Mono Vita. We ordered the grand mezze and were very pleased. The host was friendly, conscientious and brought out the food and drinks very quickly. I only wish there was a restaurant in Birmingham!
Great atmosphere, staff and delicious food. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. They have a set menu, 3 courses for £13 - great value for money.
The waiter was very friendly and gave great service!
Took my bf for his birthday. Loved the food. Couldn't finish mine. They also sang him a birthday song and refused to let me pay for the cake which was super! Food is affordable
Wow! A total hidden gem serving tasty amazingly priced food. My starter/main + sweet all hit the spot - house merlot was good + extra glass + limoncello on the house an added bonus! Espresso top marks! Will definitely return 5*
Had a great time at Mono Vita yesterday. The food was great and the staff treated me and my friends really nicely. It's nice to find a place to eat where you feel so welcome to be there.
Very quiet on a week day but the food is amazing! garlic mushrooms, Sagatory cheese suggested by the chief was better than halloumi! smoked sausage great very salty, did was cooked vrilk8antly although the sauce was very creamy, and service by the lady working was attentive,if she didn't know she asked straight away and got an answer, definitely visit again!
I had a really good evening at Mono Vita with some friends. The food was very nice, the prices were quite reasonable and the waiter was extremely friendly. I highly recommend the lamb chops.
We visited on Valentines weekend so a set three course meal was in place, multiple choices on starter, main & sweet, excellent value at £25 a head but we prefer the Greek menu, especially Friday nights with traditional Greek live music, highly recommended, the staff & musicians make you very welcome.
Had a fabulous meal here on Saturday 29th June, food was great,we had a meze for two ,so filling & the tiramisu was lovely too , my girlfriend had lemon cheesecake but after eating it wished she'd had the same so the boss man who made it himself brought out another portion for her ,by the end she was bursting!! Wine was value for money too , we had house rosé first at £12 a bottle then a rosé prosecco at £18 , have to say the cheaper one was nicer ! , One thing I can't believe is the place was empty all night ,so anyone reading this must go so this little gem stays open! Only one down side was no Greek party music,that would have given them 10 out of 10 but iI'l be generous & still give 9 well we did get one extra tiramisu!! This place is the absolute best. Delicious food, very reasonable prices and incredibly welcoming owners. Forget the chain restaurants and give this place a go! The garlic mushrooms are a must!
Good choice on menu. Friendly staff and food was lovely. Could do with decor upgrade and attention in the toilets as it let's the experience down.
