I have been to Terracotta, and I am shocked of how good the place is. Some people say it was horrible, but you have to try it out yourself.
The tastes are satisfying-ly good. I had the best chinese dinner, and my sister had a great time for her 18th birthday meal! :D
Great. I don't usually review places I eat at, but this time just had too. After seeing the reviews on the internet, I somehow wonder whether they have had a face lift or some kind of management restructure. ? .
We have been living in Leicester for about 4 years now and have a Thai friend who visits occasionally and is one of the finest chefs around; we felt lazy today and decided to eat out.
My friend, her daughter and my wife went early for the buffet, eat all you can. The atmosphere, service and food were excellent.
We were met at the door ushered to a pre booked table and ask our drink requirements, there was a good selection and reasonably priced, we then began our onslaught to a marvellous buffet of everything. A separate area was available for you to choose various meats etc. to be cooked by a personal chef.
My friend's daughter must eat for Thailand and knowing her mum she can be very picky, however in the 75 minutes we were there she did not stop.
An superb array of ice-cream and sweets to satisfy any one tastes from 4 to 90
All I can say is that value for money, eat here, but go early, we left at about 19:30 and the place was buzzing.
Must also mention the girls' waiting on, to clear away dishes after each course, the owner has certainly trained them well, manners and appearance 1st class.
The place was spotless and the décor clean and original.
We will certainly eat here again.
Value for money!. I recommend this place because ive have been there recently , and the place is great for birthdays and celebrations, also just to eat! the food is great the price is good great service and the best restaurant ive been ! hot nice food and great layout to the restraunt. my favourite is the duck pancakes and the dumplings and sushi, teppanyaki and chicken ballls...! you should go there and try!
I went there for my birthday and we got money off as my birthday present but my nan paid the whole amount but then again it was a great meal and worth the money we paid
Good for a taste of everything. Yes msg, but what place doesn't? And most of us don't notice. Loved the duck pancakes, sushi, teppanyaki, sashimi a little thin, but made up by the view through the window infront of the low ice cream tubs..
This is a brillant restarant. all you can eat, they even have a tapanyaky !
Amazing food, I do recommend 100%
Absolutely fantastic place! Food is soooo gooooood, and the staff amazing. Definitely will come back
Very nice chinese cuisine. Good atmosphere, competitive prices.
Always can find a table for two:)
Evenings are best time to go there, as is the biggest variety of dishes.
Reasonable drinks available there.
U can eat as much u want, so never go back home hungry.
Very friendly staff
Good place to start weekend party tour :) Highly recommended.
Just returned from 8th visit in 5 years (live in Worcester and travel to visit family) and have never been disappointed. Marvellous friendly staff who cannot do enough to help. Love having a browse first and small tasters before watching my meal cooked exactly how i have requested it. Food wonderfully fresh! Extremely clean everywhere. Will return as often as possible.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been too recently.
The staff are so nice. There is such a great range of foods available at all times, and the open plan of the restaurant makes it incredibly easy to social distance, in addition it allows great access for disabled people
Not normally my type of place to visit; having said that it was a good experience.
The food was good, lots of choice. Friendly staff made us feel welcome. The environment was bright and clean, staff busy cleaning tables and preparing meals working hard. Reasonable prices, good place for large groups of people, families or couples.
Pretty good, food was nothing to scream and shout about but nothing I had was bad, the meats were nice and tender, sauces were nice and flavourful, not overly salted like most chinese. The staff were really friendly and helpful, couldn't do anymore for you. Nice place. Unfortunately for us with a pram, its downstairs and there's no lift so had to carry our sleeping baby in the pram.
I read the other reviews before bringing my young son to this restaurant and was unsure.
Frankly I can’t imagine what people are moaning about. It’s clean, the staff are attentive and the food that I tried was really nice, probably above par for Chinese buffet food.
Selection for kids was fine, bear in mind it’s a Chinese buffet and therefore it’s a Chinese selection. If your kids don’t like Chinese food, don’t take them.
I alway like to add something for the restaurant to improve on, I would suggest maybe a few more dishes, in particular some healthier options and plain rice. Pet hate is seeded grapes which were in the fruit salad - also not good with kids - but it was good otherwise.
Overall for a Chinese buffet, great job.
FYI, adult, child plus a Pint Diet Coke and an apple juice on a Saturday lunchtime was £24.10 - very reasonable in my opinion for what was on offer.
Great food, lovely and attentive staff. They only lose one star as they will charge per seat if memory serves and approx 5 years ago we had 2 people in our party stay for 10 minutes, not eat, but have a quick drink and leave and the manager expected us to pay approx £30 for the food they didn't eat, and got very nasty in a pretty empty restaurant. Be aware, even during Ramadan, buffet restaurants tend to do this. I had the same thing happen in the buffet Chinese restaurant just near the Highcross Cinema even when the staff said beforehand it was okay if a Muslim friend sat with us but didn't eat.
Not as many dishes as some buffets but the variety was excellent, instead of one meat cooked twenty ways there was a nice range of dishes. From sushi and salmon to chilli wings and beef flank. The food is flavored and cooked well, from either the buffet or freshly done in front of you. The staff are very friendly and service is excellent.
Beautiful food, good value for money (£14 or £15 each). Have as many plates of food as you want, and you’ve got the option to get your food cooked in front of you by a skilled chef with any of the ingredients you choose.
Take someone who loves their food to get your monies worth!!
Very friendly and welcoming staff.
I would certainly go again. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and on top of everything. The food was replenished regularly and there was fresh made fried noodle dishes. You could choose your own selection of meats and vegetables and it was made there and then.
Great prices, very pleasant, attentive and welcoming staff.
Really nice atmosphere, beautiful layout and amazing food, with freshly made new food being brought out all evening. A great night out and wonderful experience....
Brilliant service .brilliant food.all hot .fresh and cooked properly.staff friendly and helpful.nice and clean too. Lots of choice and variety. I loved the self picked stir fry then they cook it in front of you. I had no spice plain .would deffo go again. Good price for food and drinks ..Only down side is cant take my disabled friends as its down stairs in the basement, and no lift.As they would love it to .
Still a decent place to eat. £16.80 for a meal on Friday night, although they do need to change up the dishes they have occasionally as it's the same selection each time.
The tepinyaki section is still good though, to get your food cooked fresh in front of you - beef, chicken, pork, squid or king prawn as a main (available to mix) with mange tout, beansprouts, onions, peppers, rice noodles and normal noodles available as extras - salt, pepper, soy sauce, chilli, garlic all available for seasoning.
