Visited Konak on Saturday night, I have been to quite a few Turkish restaurants around Leicester and this hands down was the best. The food was unbelievable. So fresh and flavourful. The service was amazing I felt very accommodated and at home. Such a wonderful experience.
Landed here accidentally while wanting to go somewhere else that just was closed.
Waiting time without booking was 15 minutes’ team is really Nice.
Ambience is attractive just like any Turkish restaurant.
Starters & Main courses both were amazing.
Sujuk with Haloumi grilled and pinned over bed of rockets was delight to taste buds.
Chicken Beyti good portion size ‘ but the prize winner was Ali Nazik!
Beautiful dish with the delicacy of Greek yogurt and under bed of Eggplant smoked mesh & Sizzling…

Went by yesterday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All the staff were super friendly and helped us every time we asked for help. The Halloumi Salad was particularly delicious and we had that come out first so did have a nibble along with the lovely breads - The food was lightly spiced and enjoyable. I’m more of a meat eater but the chicken wings were the most delicious on this occasion. The chips were lovely! Wish the asked us how the food was in the middle of dinner as no one came - we actually wanted more of our drinks but as we had water on the table didn’t want to make a scene. We did have to call for assistance but they were incredibly busy that evening. They managed to seat us within 20mins which we we’re grateful for. Would love to come again. Would be great if they had a larger option of drinks and mocktails seeing we we’re approaching festive season or for our celebrations. But all in all a pleasant experience.
Konak has become of the most prominent Turkish restaurants in Leicester.
Many follow the same pattern - grilled meat, fresh bread and dips with olives, well-dressed salads and a selection of desserts.
Having eaten here a few times, the food, service and busy atmosphere are always of a good standard.
As one would expect it is also a clean place.
For larger groups at busier times, a reservation would be worthwhile. This restaurant always has a steady stream of customers.
This is in walking distance of the train station up London Road and is situated in an area dominated by eateries and dessert places.
Excellent service. Everyone we interacted with was very professional, friendly, and genuinely well trained in the field of good customer service.
Only went for dessert on this occasion. Found it really good. Lovely, proper Turkish tea, nice kunafa. Will be definitely coming back and looking forward to trying out the mains.
What let's it down is the fact place is very crammed. The table next to ours was not even arm length away. Also, as we were asked to move the table, it was very difficult for an expecting woman to navigate to the new table trying to squeeze in between other tables back to back. Being on London Road red route parking is an issue as well.
We were looking for somewhere to eat and came here as a first experience and what a treat! The food portions are plentiful and very tasty. I love that you can see the chef cooking and he seemed like he was brilliant. The people who work there were all very friendly and really helpful. We will definitely be returning and really happy to have found this gem.

We were party of 8, food arrived together so we could all eat at the same time and each individual loved their selection of food including the children!
Staff are very attentive, efficient and polite.
A shout out to the young hijabi lady (wearing a headscarf) who attended to us yesterday evening - nothing was too much trouble and was extremely courteous. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

I've visited here on a few previous occasions however, managed to take a picture and leave a review.
We went on a busy evening and was seated in the waiting area to look at the menu whilst we waited for our table.
The food was good as seen in the picture, the service was ok as the waiters were rushed off their feet as the restaurant was at full capacity.
Overall, good evening.
They kept me waiting although they have the table available. After 10 minutes of waiting I had to remind them for table again. Finally, they allocated the table for me. Internal decor was nice. Staffs were very polite, active and co-operative.
Food: Humus wasn't that appealing, rest everything were very good. Perfectly seasoned, nice smokey flavor, juicy, taste and presentation, all were perfect. Free tea at the end was adding more value. Keep it up.
Great food, great location on London road just a stone's throw away from Victoria Park. One of the best Turkish places in Leicester, and in my personal top 2.
The service is always great and never had any complaints. The only negative is that being on a busy main road surrounded by many other food and drink establishments, it's difficult to find parking.
First time trying the steak, and I went for Sirloin, which was simply amazing. Juicy, flavoursome, and a generous portion. (Served with mushroom sauce, chips & peppers)
I also ordered my favourite, which is their lamb shawarma served with rice, which is hands down the best lamb shawarma in Leicester.
Konaks hospitality is what keeps us going back. They generously serve fresh Turkish bread when you are seated as well as complimentary tea at the end of your meal.

We were a large group, and service was great, food was tasty and quick, and everyone was happy. The restaurant was busy too, which made the experience so much better as we could have waited a long time potentially but didn't.

Another dinner to celebrate my birthday with my family last few weeks. The restaurant is spacious and always filled with customers. We had ordered chicken combo and lamb combo. They served us with salad and bread first which were lovely. The chicken combo and lamb combo were marinated well and grilled nicely. You should give it a go if you prefer a Turkish meal xxx thank you for the kind customer service and the lovely food x

We visited on 17/02/2023 reserving a table for 17:30. We were seated in a good spot by the window away from the door, noise and cooking area. We took our time to order and didn't feel like we were rushed. After ordering we were given the Meze and starters. As we ate we were given out drinks and shortly after, our mains arrived.

The shared platter was well cooked, tasty and flavourful. The chops were good and I particularly liked the lamb over the chicken. We also ordered the Turkish pizza which was delicious. The cheese had melted well and the crust wasn't too dry/crusty. The complimentary tea ended the evening well.
Areej and Zeynep were incredibly helpful and friendly. Served us well and had great customer service.
Had to wait around 30 mins for a table as it was busy but there was an empty table at the back it may have been booked but I didn't ask. We ordered a variety of dishes, all of it was fresh and tasty. A bit on the pricey side for me and service could have been better. One time visit with family was good.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Konak Leicester Turkish Cuisine to celebrate my sister's birthday May 12th.
it was a delightful experience. We opted for the platters, and we were not disappointed.
The starters were simply fantastic, providing an authentic taste of Turkish cuisine. The Turkish lamb and chicken shish and kofta kebab was the highlight of our meal, with excellent cuts of meat and grill that was cooked to perfection. The chops were also cooked medium rare with crispy clean juicy fat leaving us wanting more.
The salads that accompanied our meal were beautifully adorned with sumac lemon and pickles, adding a burst of flavor to each bite. The attention to detail in the presentation was evident.
What truly stood out during our visit was the welcoming and lovely staff. They went out of their way to make our birthday celebration special, even offering complimentary tea and baklava. The attentive service was truly appreciated. Thank you kubra and staff.
Additionally, the restaurant was a haven from the hot weather outside. The air conditioning provided a cool and comfortable atmosphere, without any unpleasant grill heat or smells.
Konak Leicester Turkish Cuisine consistently exceeds our expectations. From the delicious food to the excellent service and ambience, it was a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to indulge clean, fresh, satisfying authentic Turkish cuisine.
