The Globe is an atmospheric pub that dates from the 1700's. There is a choice of places to sit, rooms with a number of tables and lovely snug areas. The Globe has a good menu that caters for all tastes and there is a broad selection of beers, wines and spirits.

Easily ignored, perhaps because of its location closer to the more retail end of Leicester, The Globe is easily missed and less frequented than a lot of pubs it's size. Anyone who likes to try something new and hasn't popped in should give it a look. This is a beautiful traditional bar and on the inside feels in places like you're stepping back in time. Good seating outside. Dined here a couple of times and wasn't disappointed. Food came quickly and was delicious.

Been drinking here for 15+ years, many great memories. Still one of the best pubs in Leicester, great ales! I have not tried the food so can't comment, but am sure it will be as good as the beer. Layla and the team are very friendly.

Great pub. The staff are friendly and helpful and the pub itself has plenty of character inside, with chairs and tables outside if you want to enjoy nice weather and watch the world go by. The top room upstairs can be hired out for birthdays/events and has its own bar. The Globe stocks a good range of drinks, pub favourites and ales.

Lovely old pub that has kept its character. Had a really good meal in the Snug ,which you can reserve for get togethers (not sure if there is a charge) Friendly staff and in a historic part of Leicester but only just off the High Street. We visited early evening mid week and it was very chilled and relaxed

Easily the best pub in Leicester. Not only is it very traditional and everything you’d want from a pub on the inside, it has the best selection on tap and delicious food too. Can’t go wrong with a trip to the globe. Jed is always so helpful and friendly.

Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff and delicious food! Fantastic range of Vegan items also, including dessert and a great drink selection! A lovely gentleman was working upstaira last night (20/11/21) - so sorry, we didn't catch your name! He had a few other servers working with him, but on some occasions was working single handedly behind the bar, taking orders, serving drinks AND serving food and was so lovely, informative and friendly throughout our visit! Thanks so much for giving us a great dining experience!

Found this on the off chance, while looking for somewhere to have meal. I wasn't disappointed, the food was fantastic, all local produce and freshly cooked, the portions were just the right. The belly pork was so soft and melted in your mouth, brandy and Stilton mushrooms, were lush and the strawberry and prosecco cheesecake was so light and fluffy. Lovely friendly and welcoming atmosphere, all the staff were very attentive and friendly, especially the lady who we believed was the landlady. I can't recommend this place highly enough, you need to visit.

Great traditional old city pub serving good value food and great real ale (and other beers, wine etc.....oh and a Bloody Mary! ). Been once before but this was a Saturday lunchtime on the day if a home Tigers match ..... so it got busy but the atmosphere was great. We hadn't booked a table but we're early getting there (before 12). If you are going for food I'd advise booking a table. Staff were very friendly and really helpful. Liked it so much before the game we went back after!

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Bonus that there's a free upstairs function room with bar that can be hired out. We went to support our friend Elise for the anniversary of her late husband. Although there were a lot of people upstairs, the atmosphere was great and relaxing to be around a variety of friends and family sharing the comforts of the past and present memories that we have all had. The prices of the drinks were fairly priced and I wouldn't hesitate recommending any of my friends and family to come to hire the free upstairs venue such as a birthday party or similar event.

Great little quirky pub ( oldest pub in Leicester city centre). Good real ale choice, staff friendly and every time I've been to The Globe it's been busy.

Cosy, oldish-looking pub. Friendly staff and relaxed, 'villagey' atmosphere in the centre of Leicester. Stone floors and lots of warm wood give it character.

Absolutely awesome experience! Managed to get a couple of seats in the snug and it was great that everyone else was chatting, very unusual these days. Great ale too!

Excellent and friendly service. The food tasted very good although I thought the pie was quite small. For me, whilst I realise it's a pub, it was a little cramped and quite noisy.

Lovely old pub with fabulous beer. Great service. Can get busy at times due to central location. Well worth a visit.

Great pub but one of our party only had cash and the pub doesn't accept cash which made it a little awkward
